There has been a couple of problems that have surfaced regarding prospective members. I suggested a couple of things that should be done prior to sponsorship to Tommy and he gave it his O.K.
Prior to announcing a sponsorship:
1) Prospective recruits have to sign up on the message board and introduce themselves.
2) The membership application has to be filled out.
If you plan to sponsor someone, please let him/her know that these things need to be done before their recruit status takes effect.
I usually check for new applications at least every other day and I will send a PM to the prospective sponsor that it has been filled out. If no sponsor was indicated on the form, I will put up a post on this forum stating it has been filled out.
These changes insure that a means of communication will be established and to hopefully weed out those who aren't really serious about joining DOU.
I would also just like to add that these changes DO NOT suggest that any accusations or blame has been associated with anyone who has had problems with a recruit. This just a tweak to our recruitment system to help it run smoother and hopefully prevent potential future problems.
This is still a young clan and I'm sure this isn't going to be the last change that will need to be made here or elsewhere. If you have any suggestions regarding recruiting, please send them to Tommy.
