4. Unreal Tournament - mainly play on freestyle servers, but too many
aim-bots and locator-bots other cheating behaviours. Because I won't use
these I tend to get fragged a lot - although I'm well liked on the servers I
go to and people give me cred for never giving up, not looking for easy
frags and not camping (which is against the rules on other servers). Your
server is great fun and a level playing field with no aim-bots or cheaters.
Thats why I'd like to join.
Skills...............: Nothing special. I do write VB code but thats about
it.
Questions............: Just the average ping and if there are any setting
I can change to reduce it. I'm usually hitting between 200 and 350 which
causes me some pain, but I still manage to get reasonable scores. Mind
you, I'm on the other side of the world (Australia) so I have to expect
speed issues.
Anythingelse.........: I'm a little older than your average player (50).
I've been a moderator on IRC channels as well as on a couple of
discussion boards in the past, although none at the moment. I realise that in the
past couple of weeks I have broken a couple of the rules, but other players
have told me what the acceptable behaviours are and - I just read your
rules (twice) so I know what's expected of me. I understand that membership
means I have a responsibility to the DOU clan and that my behaviours
reflect on the clan so I'm expected to (and of course willing to) display
exemplary behaviour.
p.s. - I'm glad you don't judge on ability, because I suck at this -
although I'm getting better.

Confirmations aren't sent. His account was approved on the 10th. He needs to just login.

He said he tried but couldn't. I'll speak of it to him when I see him next.
Just PM'd Astro to see how things were going and he's putting all of free time into work to make ends meet at the moment. He says he is still very interested in becoming a member. I told him we can hold tight until he has time.

I hope he comes back around. Played some games and chatted with him in Vent a few times, usually on late. Real nice guy.

He's been gone much longer than I hoped. I sent him a PM to let him know that he's been gone so long it would be best to start the recruitment over if and when he should decide to return.
I'll be removing him from the recruit group after I get done with this post.
