I will send him a PM and an email right now and if we don't hear from him in a week we can assume he has moved on and we will cut him free.

O.K., we can assume now that this guy will never be coming back.
I will now remove his access to the members only area of the forum. If he comes back at some future time (which I believe to be unlikely), he will have to re-apply for membership.
If he does re-appear and is wearing a clan tag, direct him to the forum and tell him he needs to speak with an admin. Again, I think this will be unlikely.
Anyway, this is a done deal, he is no longer a member of Clan {DOU}.
