He left OMA and has expressed a sincere interest in re-joining DOU. He asked me what he should do and I told him that since he has been gone way longer than 6 months that he is eligible to attempt to re-join on his own without the need for me to do anything on his behalf, and that it was up to him and his attitude if he gets back in. I see no reason to try to help him with this, nor do I see a reason to prevent him from trying. He has 3 months to prove that he is ready to be part of the DOU community and take it seriously.

Since this is such a touchy thing, I will be his sponsor.

I normally am all for 2nd chances but in this case I just can't see where this will benefit DOU in any way. JK has alot of bad history to overcome.

People sometimes go through metamorphosis. I don't know the history with him, so I will treat him as a new. I think, let him play on our server without agreement for re-join at the moment and keep an eye on him. If he really wants to join us and be a good member, he won't feel offended. After some time we can offer him to join us if he deserves it.

Recently he did not gave me any problems.

Hell he might as well get voted back in, judging by the comments made by the_one from the last fiasco, he can read the members area (or at least has some sort of access to it) anyways.

It seems the clan is devided in taking JK47 as a recruit.

On one hand there are things that have happend in the past to keep in mind. On the other hand they did happen in the past and therefor should stay in the past. Everyone should be given a fair chance to come back and re-join the clan. JK47 is older now, grown up and has become an adult. I think we should keep that in mind also.

There is however a great burdon on the shoulders of JK47 to prove to the clan he has changed and that things which did happen in the past are indeed in the past and will not repeat themself in the near future. Like has been said: “JK47 has a lot of bad history to overcome”.

To bring this in a wider prospect I even think The_One should be given a fair change when time comes to re-join the clan if he wants to.

My advice as Recruitment Officer is one of impartiality in this matter.

So here’s my suggestion:

Let JK47 hang around for a while longer on the server. Let him post on the forum and talk to the members on Teamspeak. That way we could have an indication of a recruitment period for him will be usefull.

If Tommy wants to sponsor him that’s okay with me. I do not recommend to start the recruitment period right away at this moment. I know we have a three month period to figure out if he’s going to be a respectfull member and if he would be an addition to the clan, but…. As always with aspirant recruits I like to have somekinda security that he will forfill his recruitment period successfully.

On this moment the clan is too much devided and I even think there is a majority that is against him being a recruit right now. Like I said he has to prove he has changed for the better.

I respect the views expressed by our recruitment officer.

I can also support that he needs to hang around the server for a while longer before a recruitment is initiated.

I would like to voice my concern that this is a very unique time for him to show interest in re-joining DOU since his brother just quit.
