New Membership Procedure

Since we are a lot more popular now, and as a result are catching a lot more cheaters, the following is something I think necessary in the membership process.

I have every log since we got the new server. I have a server side actor that adds to the log the name and i.p. of every person who has ever connected to our server. This weekend I will finish parsing the text and will make available to those who should have access to it a web address where all this information will be. The lines will be sorted by i.p. This means that if 2 people (or 2 names) used the same i.p., even if one name begins with an a and the other with a z, they will be next to each other on the list.

When someone submits an application for membership, we will first check their i.p. against this list to see if there is any cause for concern.

We had an issue recently with FCS-BadMotor that is enough for me to feel that this step is a necessary one.

Nobody need do anything different for the time being. I will get the list up ASAP and then I will contact the membership officers and go from there.
