Thanks, I've tried to keep in touch... now if I can schedule my job arround the tourneys that would be great!!!

And somehow get ALL of the MAPS!!! (+2gigs worth of D/L so far)

I'm working on it there, GZ. As soon as Tommy is complete with the sniper server and practice server, I'll send off a nice DVD with about 600-700 maps, textures, music, and sounds. Tommy said he will be working on the servers starting today. Have a good one.

We didn't mean to insult you by leaving you out. You have done a fantastic job of stepping up and running Omega.

The purpose of this thread was to disscuss our clan recruitment pollicies and whether or not those pollicies are affecting the quality of our recruits.

No dissrespect intended toward anyone in particular.

having to wait a bit to get a full title is cool.. it allows you to get to know the clan members alot more.. i mean, dim and i sat on the FCS waiting list for a couple months for an IT spot to open up.. they just have way to many that want in and that dont advance fast enough.. but it appears they have lowered the standards.. they seem to be pushing the people threw the process alot faster with an easier full member test.. quite a few of the newer fulls dont really seem that great.. i am sure it is the dark member skin that saves them.. anyway.. after seeing the way FCS handled their recruitment process, i was expecting a longer trial period and an actual test of ability when our trial was up.. so doing a 2 part process wouldnt be to bad of an idea.. it gives a person more time to help them with things that are needed(transing, movement and map knowledge)..

any thoughts on putting an announcement in the server adds about recruiting for our FN ladder team?? maybe we could get some extra people that way or atleast some people asking about it.. since you dont have to be DOU to be on omega, maybe we could get a few good candidates that way.. then if they like it, maybe they would want to become full members.. i mean SoReal was a good example of this.. just a thought..

i am really happy that dim found the DOU server while we were waiting.. i wouldnt change my decision for the world.. i mean there are a bunch of nice members at FCS.. but DOU still seems so much more like home and being part af an actual family..

You made some good points Alf 8) .

Soliciting FN players might be a good tool for finding clan members instead of the reverse.

I am curious, could you explain in more detail how FCS tested their recruits ? I had heard some clans make you do battle against several other clan members at the same time to prove your skills.

if i remember correctly.. dim can correct me if i am wrong.. but once you made IT, at any point you felt confident enough in your abilities.. you could setup full membership match.. the match consisted of 4 of the top FCS members and 3 maps i think.. it was you against all 4 of them.. basically it showed all your good qualities and weaknesses.. i am not 100% how they actually decided on ur full membership.. as i dont see urself getting alot of points against a 4 man team.. but i guess aslong as you camped hard and got kills with minimal deaths.. i guess it would secure u a spot.. i know monstrlama and i think angry-mac both got rejected the 1st time for not being agressive enough(not searching out the kills).. and there wasnt any limit on the number of times you could try for full membership.. but i do think you had to wait 30 days in between times..

well, i hope this is enough nfo for you mama.. its the best i can do without actually going threw the process myself.. maybe next time i see monstrlama on i will pop over and ask him about it.. especially now that he made full membership...
