RDWTanner has expressed interest in joining our clan. He has been coming to Vent for a few days now. I would call this guy an interesting character to say the least. For example, he wanted it to be known right away that he is gay.
I would rather he not told me this but he decided to so that is that. I will still be calling the majority of you fags from time to time, so I hope he has a thick skin.
Also, it was reported to me that he posted a link to a "sex quiz" that is supposed to tell you something about yourself, but the results are actually emailed to the person who gave you the link. The person who reported this to me deleted the message, rightfully so. I guess some people might think that this is funny, but I do not. At some point during this process one of the recruitment officers will need to let him know that something like this will not be tolerated. As a side note, nobody in this clan should be asking another member questions of a sexual nature ever. Please remember that we do in fact have a couple of minors in DOU. This is a good way to get a quick visit from the FBI, a visit you will not soon forget. I think we can chalk this post up as a momentary lapse in judgment and let it go. But if it happens again then we will cut him free.
Otherwise, on the whole, he seems like a decent guy, although he makes me seem like the quiet type.

The sponsor should have a chat with Tanner when they get a chance and let him know that while he is a recruit he should not be enforcing rules on our server(s).

Allright, if you've been keeping up on the forums, you know there's been a recent pissing match between not_so_good (nsg) and Tanner.
As near as I can tell from the log <car>timinator was shot by nsg right after he came into the game. Now, I don't know if this happens to everyone but when you first come into the sniper server, you are vulnerable for a few seconds while it appears to the player he/she is still spawning. As far as I know, there is no help for this and I just expect to get popped right out of the gate. <car>timinator took exception to this and accused nsg of spawn killing. Tanner seemed to take this as a cue to start berating nsg and provoked him to the point of telling Tanner to "Fuck off". The shit proceeded to fly from there.
Many have had complaints and are sick of hearing the bitching whenever Tanner is in Vent or on Server. It was discussed between Tommy, myself and others on Vent yesterday and Tanner was sent the following pm last evening:

There was a discussion earlier today and I hope you take what I'm about to say to heart.
You have had a continuing habit of disruptive behavior on our sniper server, on Ventrilo and on the forum. You have have been advised repeatedly to tone down the complaining and accusations and be more tolerent but things have escalated to a new high with the latest incident. Many clan members have been bothered by this and it must stop now.
Please consider this a final warning and any further outbursts against DOU members or guests of DOU will result in the termination of your membership application.
I don't want to see it get that far but that is in your hands.

To be honest, I though he would have a hissy, accuse us of gay bias and use that as an excuse to leave. That didn't happen. So far he's stepping up and, I hope, is making the attempt to get along. I hope he finally understands what is expected of him because he's not a bad guy aside from his issues. But he has to get a grip on them and learn to deal with them appropiately otherwise it's no fun for anybody and then what's the point of being here?
IMO he's trying, but he has a looong way to go. About two months.
I'm very glad we went to the 12 week recruit period. If we hadn't, he may have been voted in by now.
Nice job Cygnus, I'm glad to see every one on top of this. If you need an officer at arms, I'll be glad to step up for the position. Just send the troubled ones to me for processing and punishment.
I can't remember, isn't there a code of conduct you have to read before you apply? Hasn't he broke the code and should be terminated?
