Happy approached me some time ago about the possibility of creating a Planetside 2 division of DOU. We discussed it in detail and decided to go ahead and see what he can do with it.
First off, understand that PS2 servers are run by Sony, DOU does not have a dedicated server of it's own. It works like World Of Warcraft. Therefore, the purpose of people joining DOU is so that those who play together all the time will have a community to belong to. Considering that DOU was always a social can first, this seemed like a good fit for us. Happy is taking the ball and running with this himself.
As for membership, the current rules still apply. Recruits will still have to go through a period before being voted in. As for votes in the beginning, it will be the same as when DOU started. There were many votes where I was the sole ballot caster.
Happy is doing this, so I will let him fill in the details. This will thrive or crash based on what he does.

Was thinking about this why dont we add (P.S) to the end of the name, for the forum only to distinguish between ut and planet side. We could also do it for other games we play like cod ..
So it would be something like :-
{DOU}Playername (P.S) or just Playername (P.S) for those that dont use DOU in the forum ??????????

Would be good if we had a second recruitment officer who actually played planetside2.
Imo HappyFnCamper should do fine if he's interested.
I have absolutely no idea how the new recuits are doing on Planetside2.
At the moment I even have to say I 've got no idea how they're doing at all... ❗
