BTW I don't think he did something really wrong here.

Hey. No no. He was a good natured player. I just don't think he fully understands the rules. When I was playing, he was constantly running/xlocing around the map. I asked him multiple times to camp and to stop running around on a previous map or two as well before I became more insistent. I advised him of basic rules, 7 seconds spawn/hide etc, and repeatedly advised him to read rules on the forum. After that, he claimed he has never been informed of those things and was unaware of those rules.
What is posted here is only the end portion of of transcript of the convo we had.
I am not against this player or anything like that, and I realize he is new... but his movement around the map was indeed excessive. If he is to be a Clan member, he should be abiding by our general standards no?
I have played with him before, he doesn't seem to be a bad guy. Doesn't get mouthy or offensive,I do think he needs a better understanding of our Underworld 😛
This guy (previously known as Nativisu) has been a pretty good player. I have never heard this hide-and-go-seek "ready or not, here I come" approach to spawning. I was playing a map the other day where you respawn in the wide open. If I had to stop running or x-locking when the seven seconds was up, I'd be crawling in the middle of the map. I could barely get away as it was. The rule on not running / x-locking is qualified by saying not to do so looking for kills. If he's running around hunting, killing, and assaulting, that's bullshit, but if he's changing places, I don't see the problem.
I find him way better to play against than some of these other players that never camp for a second and you can't figure out their position. They may not run or trans all over the place, but some of these guys are in constant motion, never camping.
This was excessive movement. Almost the entire time across several maps, he was running and xlocing everywhere non-stop
Nativisu or general whatever has always been a r&g type of player. He will have to change his ways to become DOU in my opinion.

I can't speak to what I didn't see. Maybe I'm just desensitized as a result of all the LST and OMA type play that goes on without complaint. I've played many games with him and this is the first time I've ever seen a gripe against him. Time will tell.
This weekend I'm going to start working on my recruit. General Damocles aka Nativusu must know the rules and this is my job. I think it is good material to be a member of our clan.
I sent him an email, so you should welcome him on the server as ... ? ... {dou-r}_}G3n3r@l-D@mcl3s{ 🙄
I decided to quote my email to GD:
Dear Giorgio,
I am very happy that you want to join our clan and I can be your sponsor.
The recruitment period lasts three months. Since now you can and should use the {dou-r} tag before your nickname when playing on DOU servers,

You can now change your nickname to another one, but do not change it during the recruitment process (inform me about it, please).
Since you are an old player, I do not have to teach you from the beginning the camping rules.
I'll just remind you that a recruit is obligated:

I recived an email from one of our members about the behavior of General Damokles (GD) on the camping server. Specifically, the case is about breaking the rule of not returning to revenge.
Reading carefully Sniper Rules of DOU Server noticed I, that the rule was removed (am I wrong?)
Therefore, I have requests to you - post all comments about General Damocles in this topic.

I've given him extended permissions to the forum as a recruit. He will be able to read more topics on the forum.
The "recruitment center" among others...
After my small issue with him, I toured him around a couple maps while the server was empty, and chatted him up a bit. He is a nice enough guy.
I would like to see him abide a little closer to the rules, especially as a recruit.... but I don't see this as an issue. He seems willing enough to learn and modify his playing style
Is this still happening?
