I’ve had a chat with him, before he filled in the application form. He told me that the [OMA] clan was close to dying and almost nobody did ever play on that server anymore. He played more and more on our server and felt welcome here. He was on our TS more often and also had a chat with more of our members.
On one of his chats he started to ask questions about our recruitment program and how we would feel if he should join DOU. I’ve told him to fill in an application form. He asked me if nobody would have any objection. I’ve told him about the recruitment procedure and that the clan would decide if we would let him in to the program. After I posted his application form , only Bison had remarks and was (still is) quit suspicious. I’ve decided, as a recruit officer, to give him a fair chance.
Lets Judge him on his behaviour on the server and forum. Lets keep up with the facts. I dont say its wrong to be on guard, but lets not label him as an infiltrator just based on suspicions.
We should give him the same opportunity we would give anyone that applied.
I am only commenting that it seemed odd. It may not mean anything but then again it might. Just something to think about.

What do you mean exactly? What should we be afraid? I do not know his more distant past and don't know, why his name is/was mud?
Could he somehow or other harm the clan or the server?

There is a long history of tension between DOU and OMA. Many of their players have been booted from our server over the years. The comment by Barnzyy made me suspicious.
What I'm saying is there may be other motives for Loop joining DOU besides OMA winding down.

I really do not think this is the case. What incentive could the guy have to do this? I honestly think that he is just looking for a new home so that he can play the game he enjoys with like-minded people.
All things considered, I think we need to give the whole suspicion thing a break for now. If something were to happen we would just deal with it. But until then we need to be a bit more receptive with this.
As a side thought, he is a good player who played on a good team. If he came aboard I am sure he would want to organize some rumbles and matches. I am sure he could do his part to help those of you who want to play get into shape and maybe win a match or two. Our previous track record hasn't been too good so it would be nice to get a few in the win column. In that regard, having him in the clan could be a very positive thing.

So... his recruitment ends on the 25th of January 2013.
I would like to see some more info on him on this particular thread.
Expecialy this last month of his recruitment I want answers on questions like:
How is he doing so far?
Is he still around on TS? (I can check the time he spends on the server using GT).
Is he talkative on the server?
How is his gameplay and interaction to guests on the server?
How is he doing considering his participation on the forum?
Etc. etc. etc.
Only if we can give ourselves answers to these questions we can make a fair justment on wether he would be a good member and a usefull add to the clan. That way we can honest vote for either yes or no when his vote comes up.
In mid-December I sent him an email. I encouraged him to be more active on the forum, the server and TS. A day later he made some post on forum ...
... and that's all.
I have not seen him recently on a server.
I will sent him another email. But I'm afraid he will be better player than a member of the clan DOU.
