Recruit Teamspeak3 meeting guidlines

With much thanks to Pyro we now have guidelines for what needs to be gone over with a recruit during his/her Teamspeak3 meeting.

It might seem like alot to go over with someone but it is necessary to give the potential new member everything he/she needs to know as to what DOU is about and what is expected of a recruit.

What's really great about posting this is that you can have it on screen during the meeting and just go down the list and go over each thing.

I am also putting this up in the recruit area so they have access to them.

If you feel any modifications need to be made, please post them.

DOU recruitment process

-

-DOU is a social club. Joining is a process of acceptance.

-Recruitment period is 12 weeks.

-After this probation period, there will be a ‘members’ only vote.

-During this time you are assigned a sponsor.

-Your sponsor is responsible for you both in you interfacing with him or her with issues or questions you have of the membership and in reverse if members of the clan has issues with you it will be dealt with through your sponsor.

-You are required to wear the {dou-r} tag at all times on DOU servers.

-While wearing the tag it is expected that you respect clan members on and off the server and that you act in an acceptable and respectful manner on any other server as you are representing Clan DOU.

-You are required to know the server rules.

-As a recruit you are not allowed to police the servers, if you have problems with another player, member or guest, PM your sponsor.

-If you lose your cool with someone on the server, leave. PM your sponsor about what happened.

-If you are told you are doing something wrong by a full member of DOU, listen to him/her. If you think the member was out of line, deal with it through your sponsor. Our game servers are not to be used for arguments between clan members.

-We are primarily a camping clan but do have a 2004 server, Uzi server, an FN server for matches and a practice server which, as a recruit you have access to.

-You also are allowed and encouraged to join some of the ladder teams, 2V2 and 5V5 ladders. If you join a team, you are required to attend practices as well as play in scheduled matches.

-Your responsibilities as a recruit are, to be involved in the clan through Teamspeak3, posting on the forum, or joining in on Ladder matches and internal matches, and attending practices.

-As a recruit you will have access to the recruit section of the forum. Recruit skins are available. It is encouraged but not required that you wear it as it does validate your wishes to become a member.

-You are responsible for gaining acceptance into the clan by getting to know the members and gaining membership votes.

-If you are going to be inactive or away for any reason make sure you let your sponsor know.

-DOU is not looking for members who sign up, get voted in and then disappear after a short time.

-If you do not get enough yes votes to gain membership, you will be allowed to re-apply after a waiting period and go through the recruitment process again.
