I’ll have to warn you guys that this is gonna be an awfull long thread in the making. I’m searching at GameTracker to see if we missed someone who would be a potential recruit. Also I’m gonna list here players that are playing or played a lot of time on the server. I’m skipping no names, so you could even see the banned and KOS players on this list. If we’re looking for a new recruit this will be the thread to find them. At least that’s what I’m aiming for here.
See the reaction I put up with the players name and please add something if you have something to say in favor or against the particular player mentioned.
Like Tommy said in the latest ventrilo meeting: "New recruits are also needed and we as a social group should be looking to recruit new members to stay on the leading edge of other clans, we would like to be the Clan to remain strong when others vanish. To achieve this goal we need to give new players a chance to learn and have a good relationship with current members, not being forced or scared to join the DOU family of clowns.
New players should not be pressured to join DOU. If asked and they decline, let it be. They may come around later and want to join. High pressure tactics will most likely drive them away forever.
If a new player wants to be a clan member please respond on the forum, If you plan on sponsoring a player please post first, and let other clan members react. The player you may like may be a total ass in everyone else’s opinion, or may be a great addition to the friendly dysfunctional group we have".
The big Question we may ask ourselves here: are we going for quantity or quality?
Does it matter how long they are playing on our server or is it more important that when someone plays he/she just feels like a good addition to the clan?

Of the ones that weren't asked recently, I think these 4 are good prospects. I still wish jas would go for it too. I suspect kdog will, he comes on vent sometimes. I think part of the problem maybe is some are just shy and don't want to come on vent.
jacobite-Has learned a lot about camping IMO, he's friendly and good to play with now. Posts on the shoutbox occasionally.
Tanequil-Good player and always friendly. One of the ones I never worry about shooting me in the back, if he comes into my spot I will just keep looking for people across the map, I know he will leave.
-/Top/- Pretty similar play to Tane, faster sometimes. Seems like a good guy.
stiff-Friendly and good to play with, tends to get killed a lot but seems to take it well.

Yes, I saw him on ventrilo a few times. Haven't played with him. How is he/she? Anyone talked to this one? Plays here since May 24, 2010 . Weekly on the server according to GameTracker.

I would first like to express my gratitude to you for all the wonderful work you have done to compile this list. As you probably know Knightmare is a recruit that I suggested we look at. I've known him through UT for 3 years or so. I'm sure Clan DOU will be happy with him. I have some knowledge of some of the players mentioned in your list.
1) Kdog - I asked him if he was interested about a year ago and he told me he did not think he was "good enough". I was not a member of Clan DOU at the time and was asking players I knew and liked what they thought of you guys. Kdog likes Clan DOU but doesn't think he is a good enough player. I have not approached him again as once I was a member I learned that there was a procedure to follow. I'm glad to see that we are looking at him as a possible recruit.
2) Sunlight On Chrome - SOC said the same thing to me when I spoke to him. He doesn't
feel his skill level is high enough to join. I also think he mentioned a time constraint problem. I think he too would be a great addition to Clan DOU. Anyone who spent ANY time with him at all knows what a nice guy he is.
3) I've known Jackstraw the longest of the three. We played at the WOLF server for 2-3 years before I found the DOU server. He is a really nice guy and a good player too. I think he too would be a great addition to Clan DOU. I would like to get him on vent. I'll ask him next time I see him.

Exactly, skill level doesn't matter. Lots of us were crap when we started, being in the clan and having people to learn from helps a lot. I've learned a lot and gotten better since I joined.
2Big2handle, U{KILL}ME, both only started here recently but I think in the time I have seen them they have gotten a lot better. Learned the rules and about camping, and got more talkative and friendly. Big improvement.
Rodent used to come around a lot, haven't seen him lately. Necron99 actually talked a lot the last few times he was on, lot of improvement from him too.
