We need to make a list of sponsor responsibilities and then leave it posted here. This way when someone agrees to sponsor a new person, they understand their duties and will hopefully fulfill them.
Here is what I have, please post what needs to be edited or added:
1) Get them to make an intro post
2) Get them to fill out the form
3) Show them where the recruit area is and make sure they have read the rules. Be sure to put up a post in the recruit thread if they do not have access to the recruit area.
4) Make sure they get a copy of the recruit skin(s)
5) Set up Teamspeak3 meeting.
6) Make sure the recruit is using the {dou-r} tag. And yes, this should be in lower case!
7) Monitor the recruit through the recruitment process
What else? I am sure there is more. Don't worry about the specifics of these just yet, we just need the duties first. Then we will further define them. But we do need to get this done ASAP.

Also, sponsor should be someone who is actually around and plays the game.

Sponsor should start a thread here where we can post and read about the recruit.
This will serve to let the sponsor know how his recruit is doing by getting feedback from the membership.

The list will be getting updated soon to reflect some needed changes to help the recruit have the best chance for making the vote to get into DOU.
If we need more sponsors, I would be more than happy to throw my hat in the ring and volunteer.
I think I was told at one time that you have to be in the clan for one or two years to sponsor a new recruit - I've only been around since last December. All the same, I'd be more than happy to ante-up in a pinch if that can be overlooked.
