Ok...

Went into the server and asked that they remove the tag. I got some ressistance initialy. " I sent in the application " was one of the things they sent my way. I let them know that just because they appllied didn't mean that they had been accepted. They finally backed down and removed the tag.

Prior to today I have never seen this person on the server. Perhaps they have played under a different name I might recognize ?

Either way, I let them know that before they could wear the tag they would be contacted and assigned a sponsor.

The sudo (super user do; officially pronounced /ˈsuːduː/,[2] though /ˈsuːdoʊ/ is also common) command is a program for Unix-like computer operating systems that allows users to run programs with the security privileges of another user (normally the superuser).

Interesting response to "skills". 😕

I remember a sudo arc.

I think in this case I'll reply to his application that we would like a little more background info on him/her.

I think it might be prudent in this case since no one seems to have had much contact with this person.

The reluctance to follow mAmA's instructions to drop the tag makes me think that the person is impulsive and bullheaded to some degree.

Also the info Jarg provided raises another flag.

More reasons to be a little wary of this application.

Personally, I like to see someone become a server regular before applying for membership. Let's you get to know him/her so you don't take in a pscho and give them member priveleges.

I've seen him before.

Take a look at his myspace account. He is 22 and lives in Russia.

He may just not understand the whole process. I am not saying that anybody should just usher him in, but rather that we should all be mindful that we were also noobs at one time.

I hear ya T.

I'm not suggesting we blackball him for making a mistake, just that we use caution.

I think in the past our willingness to look the other way when there were warning signs we should have been paying attention to ( cough, Tanner, cough, cough) caused us ALL a lot of unnecessary grief.

I may be selfish here but I do this for fun so I want it to BE fun. Dealing with problem people is not fun.

I played with sudo last days.

He seemed to me a person filled with enthusiasm about our server and clan. He began to play like sudo, but left the game and come back with the tag.
