Seriously though. I don't think that you will be able to do much with him Nightwalker. He just LOVES to talk. Whether it is trash, or complaining, or asking "How do you decide the maps for the FN matches?" for the twelfth time in three days, he loves to hear his own voice. In my not so humble opinion, if he would just shut it and actually LISTEN, he would learn something.

I have a bad feeling that I may slip up and tell him this one day.

First, Thanks go to Mama for pointing out the "bitch" thing. I was thinking about that too but didn't get around to mentioning it.

Does Tanner have a valid complaint? I guess that could be argued. But the bigger problem is in resolving it and the real reason the complain came about anyway.

First, does anybody here think that we can or should police Vent to the degree it would seem he wants us to? Regardless of whether or not we should, I think it would be about impossible for us to do. We had a good 10 - 12 people in Vent again tonight. DOU is a very popular place to be Vent and game server-wise, and we get a lot of guests. I for one am not going to sit in Vent every night and correct people when they come in to chat. People expect to come in and chat and have fun. Guys rip each other up, it's what we do. People are gonna rip on each other and there is no way to prevent that. If we make the attempt, people will cease to have fun and not come around any more. I don't want everything to change just because one noob who just started coming around demands it. it won't be fun anymore. Holy shit, if we ban the word gay Razor might as well cut his tounge out.

The first night Tanner was in Vent he made it a point to tell me that he was gay. Since I didn't ask it put me off a bit (I found it to be odd), but I shrugged it off. However, at that time I did in fact actually have a talk with him and told him that people talk like that around here and it is just for fun. I told him that if it bothers him he would either need to grow a thicker skin or that DOU might not be for him. He said that everything was fine. It's funny to me now thinking about this, because we did have that conversation.

Also, I see this as a kind of power-play. If we give in on this, he will dominate all of our Vent conversations. Everybody will always feel like that have to run what they want to say by him to see if it is O.K. It is interesting to me that as offended as he is, he did not quit. He left Vent but stayed on the Game server, and he is in Vent right now (I am staying in idle). He is just pulling a drama-queen act and trying to drive us into submissive postures. Kind of reminds me of Chef-Geek, he tried to pull the same shit but via a different method.

My last thought on the matter is this - since he has been coming around Vent and the game, things have been a bit less fun. I would rather bore a hole into my skull with a power-drill than listen to his constant complaining for another day. Every fucking sentence out of his mouth is a complaint.

If you want to be around people who are PC all day long, go join the Boy Scouts. Funny, there is a gay joke in that somewhere, lol.

The funny thing was that he quit Vent in a hissy-fit. We went on having fun. Blade fragged Hannibal and just as tanner came back in the first thing said was Hannibal saying "Blade, you homo!!!"

The timing couldn't have been better if it were staged.

Tanner shouts out "Thats it!!" and leaves again.

I am sorry if it makes me an asshole, however I can't help but laugh out loud while thinking about it.

I laughed about this and sent Wave a PM, but now that I think about it it, here is a good point:

Tommy we should not police the chat for one person and you are GAY. I have replied to Tanner in the complaint thread as he would rather do this in public than consult his sponser. He then Pm'd me saying much the same as he put in the complaint thread I am waiting to reply I will do it later when I have got of the floor laughing about someone being so thin skinned it is not as if the remark was made against him.

I'd like to complain too because I remember that I've been called a "Frenchie" on this server and on Teamspeak and this is not kind and my mother said you shouldn't allow things like that because this isn't good for my nerves and... and... and I'll cry and I think I can get deseases because of that and... and... oh shit ! 🙁 😯

I thought it was cool that he came out and announced he was gay and really secure with his sexuality, but I guess he is not.
