It's finally here, the opportunity to have your very own @clandou.com email address.
I will be sending a PM to every current clan member to make sure that evryone knows about this.
Getting an account is not mandatory, only if you want it.
The mbox quota per account will be 10 megabytes. While not an incredible amount of space, it is most likely the same size that your ISP gives you, and as such should be plenty for regular day to day stuff. If you need an account to transfer large files, get a gmail account.
Your accounts are 100% private, not even I can read your mail.
The rules are simple, no spamming with the account, and no transfering of warez or porn and anything else that you wouldn't want your mother to know you were doing (unless you mother is a biker chick).
I will post a quick tutorial on how to set your email clients and how to login to webmail.

I've already received requests for email addresses like "god@clandou.com" from several people. I'm not going to do stupid shit like that.
I recommend that everyone just use their normal online name. Of course i'm flexible for creativity, but show the world that you like being in DOU

Here is how to access your mail.
First, when you get your PM stating that your account is set up, go to http://www.clandou.com/ and click on the email link at the top of the page.
Once there, for your username type in your FULL email address. So for me I type tommy@clandou.com
Then for the password, type in the temporary password I have sent you.
As soon as you login on the bottom is a link to change your password, please do that right away.
Then logout and back in to make sure it is working ok.
You will see that there are 3 different web mail applications that you can use, the choice is yours.

For those of you like me who use an email program (pop3) the settings are similar.
For your username you will need a full + address and not just your chosen username. So, for example my choosen name is tommy so I put in the program tommy+clandou.com
That is not a typo, it must be like that. Joe user would put in joeuser+clandou.com
For the mail server you will put in mail.clandou.com
For your smtp server, please use the one your isp assigned to you.

Since we don't need the web space right now for redirect, I am thinking about other was to use it up.
One thought was to increase the mbox quota size for the email accounts. It is currently at 10 megs. I could easily push that to 20 megs.
Is this something that anyone cares about?

For me it's not really important (I don't need a big one as I won't use it as a hard drive !)
