A few comments here.
I am thinking about replacing the quake 2 server with a different game.
Here are my thoughts on why I am considering this.
First, while I myself love the game and will always play it from time to time, I find that I play it very seldom now.
Next, when I put it up I had hoped that clan dou would get into it, but that obviously didn't happen in any big way. No fault to anyone, people are what they are into.
Next, of us clan members that do play the game, I find that most of us rarely go to the server but instead are on the clan wos server more often.
Next, I have found that of the other people who play on the server, they also go where the wind blows and are not very loyal to the server. Also, it would seem as though I have attracted a group of whining bitches, several of who I am certain that in time I would prove are cheating.
Next, Qwazywabbit recently put up a server that has everything enabled that the wos servewr does not. One of the reasons I put up a server was to get back some of the weapons I missed.
Last, other than myself, only X7 and Ground Zero play on the server (from clan dou). X7 was a member of dou before the lox server went up, and Ground Zero seems to really like ut more (and who can blame him 🙂 ) So my plan of using the server to recruit at least enough members to build a team has failed miserably. The server has been up for over 6 months so I am fairly certain that this won't change.
So, is it time to try something new?
If so, for a replacement server i'd rather not commit on anything right now. Nothing has to be done over night either.
So, am I throwing the out the baby with the bathwater or is this worth exploring further? Please vote and post your opinions here.

It's shown it's ups and downs but I'm pretty sure it will prove itself as a great server that everyone will like to join in...
if you could only show the IP address for it on the website...hmmm...

Since I don't play the game, I'm not going to cast a vote to affect the clan members who do. So, like Moon, I'm going to abstain on this one.

Misty Chan messaged me today asking if we could make the match a 4v4 instead of a 2v2...I have to message him back saying that I can't and quite possibly we will have to call off the match because it looks like it's just me.
Now you guys see where I am going with this?

See, the point is that it is a clan resource thats not really being used. Most of the clan s getting nothing from it and it isn't doing anything for us.
We can give it another go if you'd like, we just need to make an effort to make something of it, or close the lid and bury it.

I made up a long winded responce to this b4 but when I went to post my internet took a big shit 👿 Anyways, the moral to the story u didnt see 😮 was that it dont matter how many servers u got with different games. You aint going to be able to please every clan member or get them intested in a new game. Who knows, when Q4 comes out I may forget that this UT thing is on my pc 😉 There is only so much time in the day to play on the internet and so many games u have time to play.
I agree with Bison except one thing : I don't think I could stop being interested in UT99.
I already have UT 2k4 installed on my PC. It's a very beatiful game, it's a great game, especially in Team Assault mode BUT I take much more pleasure and fun on UT99 !!!
I played Far Cry a few... same thing and I recently read in a game news review that many player are coming back to UT99.
Furthermore, when you browse actually in UT server research, you find about 2250 servers with about 3500 players and, six month before, they where about 1850/2000 only with about 2400 players !
This is what happened to me. I played other beautiful games but the fun isn't so simply cool than in UT99... But this is only my advice... 😉 🙂

How well does quake work with win7? Im willing to go find a copy and give it a try. But not if its like Fallout and shanks all the time
