We started doing this after this thread came on:
After this thread we started to ask the 30 days banned player to contest their ban. It looked like a good idea at that moment, but we never actualy did make a poll for it so it seems. Maybe it's still a good idea to continue with it. Otherwise we will have to revaluate the BAN list. there are a few players who got caught in there because they didn't contest their 30 days ban.
Since it has been agreed 30 days ban and its consequences this should be described in the sniper rules.
The excessive number of rules confuse rather than help.
I think there should be a Security officer to make the bans for weeks or months, based on reading the post of administrators or other members. This ban should be simply applied without appeal or defense.
The Security officer should be a balanced person and their decisions respected by the members.
Only the definitive bans should be voted.
The person affected by a definitive ban should be notified and have the right to defend itself.
Once the defense has finished, the decision to keep the ban or switch to another sanction must be resolved by the Security officer.
The rules are easy too read and people should take 5 mins of there time too read them.

Not all server admins are correct all the time. Some just like to throw their weight around because they have it.

In the rules or somewhere should be described, what waits for a player who is punished 30 days ban. I mean the possibility of an appeal or an apology, otherwise a permanent ban.

When players are banned they can always find a thread with their name on the forum. So therefor they should know of the ban and the consequenses. If they don't visit the forum they will never know, but then again they won't also know our server sniper rules.
