The use of aimbots on our server is on the rise. I see at least 2 a day. I am not sure if they are the same people comming back each time with a new player and name or if these aimbots have become very available. Either way there are way too many of them too ignore any longer.
Symptoms:
Aimbots cause the player to aim erratically, they never miss. They don't seem to protect them from being shot but it's usally from behind, or from shooting a player still spawning. They are always able to detect people comming up close range and react before they even see the player.They turn and fire and hit people in places they could not have known they were in, not to mention they do it so fast they could not have zoomed in that fast even if they knew they were there. The score of the aimbot user is usually very high with frags.
I watch them for a while, it dosn't take long to see they are using an aimbot. I used to tolerate an occasional cheat and just leave and come back later because I lacked conclusive proof. There are far too many for that now. I watch them and if I am sure they are using an aimbot/cheat, I kick them, If I'm not sure I don't. I reccomend all Admins do the same. This ruins the game experience for everyone, also the more experienced players know right away when someones using a cheat and begin complaining.

Another good way is to open up your console window and type in behindview 0 this puts you in "first person" prospective so you see thru there eyes...
(This has to be done when in spectator mode)

I think some were the same couple guys. But some also seem to be young kids, totally lack experience. The first group, they wait a second, then shoot. They are harder to tell, they do the twitching and track others behind walls, but they shoot spawners less and actually try to look they are camping by crouching and half hiding. They trans a lot too. The ones that seem to be younger kids just stand all exposed, shooting everything. They run from room to room a lot and die a bunch from shooting spawners and just from running around being exposed. The first group, they pay enough attention that when you get on and start watching they calm down. Several times I looked at the server and saw crazy scores, got on vent and was told there was a cheater, and got on the server to watch and suddenly the kills stopped racking up so quick. Those guys aren't entirely stupid, just assholes. 👿 The younger ones, they don't even notice when you tell them to quit running or anything.

What times of the day do you usually see them on?
We have also seen Camleon skins. THey change color and texture depending on where they are. Most people think this is a cheat and they should be kicked do you agree? Oben was on with me the other night and witnessed it. I have a recording if you are interested

Mostly days, but all different hours.

I saw one of the aimbot users turn a Skarj skin white with large red polkadots ( no, I'm not kidding)

Until Tommy can get back up and running, we may just have to put up with this. I fear that it will drive traffic away from the server. Is T the only one with super admin privileges?
