An informative read about Hooks.

Ahhh. The time is upon us where the script kiddies have been allowed access to the newest aimbots, hooks, radars, autotriggers, skin changers, and anticheat cracks available. (Yes, I did say anti-cheat CRACKS.) Allow me to explain...

Where to begin... Lets start with the hooks.

Everyone knows what a hook does. It allows a player to use a "bot" to cheat. They are made aware of where every person is on the map via Radar, they know how much health you have, what weapon you are using, ect...

The "Aim Bot" side of the cheats makes a player automatically track other players once they are in range. You can tell when this is happening as the player will jerk from angle to angle and fire at everyone in sight. These options can be disabled or enabled with a keystroke. This includes auto tracking and auto fire.

Here's a little bit of info to help you spot someone running a cheat.

1.) I am viewing this person "thru his eyes" and I cannot see a bot running. This person is not using a cheat.

:What you should know:

All of these hooks have these nifty little features called "Scrubs." You cannot see what is going on, even if UTDC says you can.

IF you snap a screen shot, you might catch the radar working. However viewing a live feed from their POV will do nothing for you.

2.) The person is not jerking around erratically. There are no signs of an aim bot in use, however he knows where everyone is.

:What you should know:

I mentioned "Radars" within the cheats. All the radar does is display a, well a radar that tells you where everyone is. It also has

placeholders to show you a players location thru several objects. Lets say you are hiding behind a picture, or in a dresser. You could

be in a closed box. It doesn't matter. There will be a rectangle on the cheaters screen showing him where you are. All he has to do

is wait for you to pop out.

Then there are the obvious signs that the player is botting. We all know about these already.

Anti-Cheat Cracks;

O.k. Cheat cracks. Great! So they can just get right by my anti-cheat system?

Yes.

The player can actually put cracked UTDC/UTPure/AnthChecker files into their system directories and voila! The anti-cheat programs never have a chance to check what the player is running. Now, there is rumor of the latest utdc being hack already, but nobody has actually gotten their hands on it yet. GREAT NEWS.

So basically this means that with the latest UTDC running, only one major hook and a handful of native hooks can get through.

Here is a little Aimbot community where you can gather some info. These sites may have popups. I have a few popup blockers personally so I never had a problem, but some other people have told me that its just ridiculous. Be Aware....

This site right here has tons of popups, so make sure your security is up and running. I personally had no problems with the site at all.

However again, a few people here had some great trouble getting in and registered.

This site is the grand daddy of the sites that I have to present. Here you can grab some unbelievable stuff.

Aimbots, Hooks, AutoTriggers, Anti-Cheat Hacks, Steal admin passwords for ut servers, the list is endless. You can even score native hooks that are undetectable.

Hopefully once you see a few videos of people using these bots and you really get the gist of what is happening behind the scenes, you can easily identify the sneaky players that are good at disguising what they are doing.
