O.K., this wasn't made official yet, but considering the person was talked to, I think it should be O.K. for me to mention this in the members only area. I ask that nobody mention this outside of here for the time being.

The cheat was an altered UTPure file which makes Pure not work so the person can run cheats. Running the altered file is in itself a cheat, pure and simple (no pun intended).

The person was DQ, aka DairyQueen. This person also goes by the name (insert drum roll here) XIS-Oofki. Yes, an XIS clan leader and team captain. Busted hard, no was to deny it, no way out of it. It did not hppen on a FN server, but that does not matter, if you get caught cheating anywhere you are out (just like DOU's rule).

He was confronted, denied it, was presented with the evidence, denied it, and finally banned from FN globally and for life. He cannot play in any ladder on FN, period.

Unfortunately FN cannot ban the rest of the team as they were not caught cheating. But I am certain that among others that Soul and Fish-n-Chips cheat as well. So what will happen? I don't know. I do wonder if the rest of XIS will attempt to play still. I hope not. I think that if they do, nobody will trust them and evry time they win the other team will cry foul. I hope they just hang their heads in shame and go away. XIS is not the original name of the clan, they changed to it after members were caught cheating in the past to avoid all the stigma of the old name. I am willing to bet that they will go away for a bit and then come back with new names and a new clan. But we are going to try to get I.P.'s and watch for them. Thus my requesting that people obtain I.P.'s whenever possible.

We all know that they were cheating, it's nice to finally be able to prove it. I just hope they go away now.

maybe I'm a moron but I don't understand why people would want to cheat. You can't really take pride in your achievements in game play. It would probably take the thrill out of the game at least for me.

those words are so true.. no since in playing if all you want to do is cheat.. no honor and pride in that...
