It has been a few years since I have done this, so it is time to do it again.
I will wait until Friday or Saturday morning to do this.
The this I am going to do is to wipe out the sniper server ban list completely and start from scratch.
The reason for doing this is because there are far too many bans in the list and the game itself is having a hard time processing them. Due to some people adding range bans that are far too excessive, the amount of banned I.P.'s is in the hundreds of thousands and quite possibly as high as a million. When a player joins the game, the server has to check them against the ban list and I believe this is what is causing a lot of problems with the server as of late (a few of those large range bans were added recently). The server may choke and crash if the load is too high, and this seriously adds to the load.
This does not mean that the most serious offenders will get a pass. After the list is wiped, the people who maintain the lists may add back the people they feel need to be on the list. However, as I have seen in the past, I believe the vast majority of people on the list are long gone and never to return.
We have cooked this list a few times in the past and it has not caused a problem.
Consider this the only notice of my doing this. I will post again Friday or Saturday after the list is wiped.

Remember to flush when you are done!
Cant have those turds just hanging out - getting stale in the bowl. As I am sure we will have plenty of dingle-berries to deal with afterwards.
OK.
Thx Tommy
I've deleted half of the list a year ago. In the first two weeks after I did there were a few banned players that tried to get back on the server again, so I did ban them again. It wont give much problems.
For those who didn't get it. Tommy's talking about removing IP bans from the RSA. The P.B.L. and K.O.S. on the forum stay the same.
Thorough cleaning from time to time it is a norm. Good idea.
People changed their IP since they were banned or don't try to play on the server anymore.
Within 6 last months I could see just a few players from the P.B.L.:
Conman, Roleo, Lapero, Kurt1w, [TA]Tapout, Maldo, Patoruzu.
The first four does not give up and still furtively are visiting the server.
Dj's range band needs to stay, he kept coming back...

I agree, also Conman, Roleo, Lapero, Kurt1w, Maldo, Patoruzu
[TA]Tapout is a problem becase his father TKK Underdog is well liked and plays on our server, to bad his kids are fuck holes.

I can't remember, does RSA maintain it's own ban list separate from the server ban list?

I don't see anything deleted of the RSA ban list.
Under defaults at the upper right then under IP Bans/Accepts

Think Grubb means there isn't anything deleted, yet...
And there isn't.
I wasn't responding to grub
