Bite_Me banned.

Bite_Me is a good player and a very demanding opponent.

However, I agree with all the objections made by Nathan to his style of playing.

I like to play against Bite_Me, but rules are rules

I know nobody has ever been able to prove anything, but I want you to consider this. Incredible aim aside, what I found most remarkable is it was impossible to get the drop on him, particularly on his favorite: Train Station. The other night I was looking to see what an aimbot can do and found this:

Look how it shows the position of targets through solid objects. On Train Station, I could move concealed from one side of the map to the other and even with all the other distractions around, as soon as I'd stick up my head, he'd pop me. Never could get him. If he could follow us through solid objects like that one aimbot in particular, that would explain an awful lot. Even with how he could home in on people for revenge, first thing, and go direct to them after a respawn.

There's nobody that's even a close second to him. There must be more to it.

It's hard to believe that Bite_Me uses such support, but everything is possible. Watching his effectiveness, sometimes I joke that his bullets are turning around the corner.

I find it hard to believe he doesn't! Even a lousy player like me can get the drop on you, Dr. Boom, and Natan once in awhile. Him -- never.... never unless he happens to have his back to me.

The other night there was a decent crowd. Rad made a comment after Devil Child popped him and DC replied, "it's the x-ray cheats I run". Playing dumb I asked him, "Are x-ray cheats really a thing?" and he replied "no". I told him I wasn't accusing him of anything, just curious about his comment.

It's interesting that another OMA blurts that out then denies they are a thing. If they have one at their disposal, it would explain exactly how it's impossible to get a shot off on Bite Me unless he has his back to you -- the only times I've ever been able to shoot him. Makes me wonder if they've concocted such a cheat that cannot be detected. Just wanted to pass that along in the event we see more OMA chatter about it or run across other OMA that have this peculiar ability to know where the groundhog will pop up no matter how he's concealed.

I don't believe that DC is running any type of cheat, just his mouth, lol. Bite me on the other hand, I think he is. TBH, I think there are several cheats out there that go undetected. No UT99 anti-cheat has been updated in several years. Thats why we have to make educated decisions and only react when we are damn sure something is happening. Sucks but that is life. But sometimes when it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I agree. I wasn't saying that DC runs the cheat, but I thought it was interesting that somebody from the same clan mention something that sounds like what Bite may be using, like they've discussed it. DC doesn't play well enough to be aided by a cheat! :rofl:

Bite keeps coming back trying to find a back door way in despite the fact that he knows that he's banned.... yet claims that he follows all the rules. That tells you all that you need to know right there.

IMO, Bite_Me is a very skilled player, which knows all the weaknesses of the game and uses them.I'm not so familiar with it, but I think that all lags, ping differences, texture imperfections etc. - knowing all this and being able to use it gives him a significant advantage in the game. I will add to this a good knowledge of maps, their secrets, bad and good spots on them.

The fact is that Bite_Me violates several important camping rules that we've always tried to follow on our server, including:

- avoiding revenge at all costs,

- not sneaking,

- after respawning, taking the nearest good spot instead of running across the map to your favorite place,

- and excessive mobility in the spot in order to make it harder to hit the player.

Perhaps there is also a significant hardware advantage of Bite_Me.

That's the long way of saying: Pick your poison.... there's plenty to choose from. ::DancingBanana::
