Those assholes have been abusing the shoutbox pretty hard and I've also heard they've been on Ventrilo again too.
Any way we can find out who these pricks really are? I wouldn't be above giving them some serious intimidation at this point. If we can take away their anonominity they may not be so brave in their attacks.
If nothing else, we could remove the shoutbox for a time and maybe they'll go look for someone else to abuse.

I feel that is unlikley Cyg. They came here randomly after being finally driven fron ZSZ but since we've tried to get them to leave they've decided to make this their new challenge, it's personal with them now. No matter how many roadblocks we throw in front of them, they will keep trying to find a way back. I also think they find it stimulating, in a sick cut yourself kind of way.

Doesn't help, if you mute someone and they go off and come back on, the mute doesn't stay.

Okay - I'll play dummy, how does one play the game and have the vent console active at the same time?? I play full screen always - is that the difference?

I am not sure if I understand the question.
The obvious answer is to run ventrilo, minimize it, then start UT. I guess that is not what you mean though, so please explain.

I have dual monitors so I can see vent on the other screen. You can run UT in a window and stretch it almost full screen. This gives you quicker access to other programs but it tends to be a little darker in game so I just run full screen.

Yeah, no problem - I notice that a lot of peeps during play know who's entering vent and such, so as to seem like not only are they playing but can also see the active vent console. Pyro says he has two monitors one with the vent console and one with the fullscreen game so he can see everything going on. I guess I'd have to play not in fullscreen mode in order to see the vent console. Right?
I do the same thing. Right monitor has vent open. You can have it read the names when people enter as text to speech too, but that's annoying.

LOL i was not sure to understand your first question !
Why don't you use the overlay that stays on screen (even in full screen) and can show you who's entering Vent, who's speaking aso...). I have it set in the down center of my screen (but you can chose another place that fits you better). That's it !... π
(I use the 3.0.4 Ventrilo version)
Thanks Mooner! I'll give this overlay a try - had no idea.
....must have some Canadian Blood in me. π
