Not useless, highly effective. If they are in fact the same person, then someone jumped a subnet and all I would have to do is ban that subnet as well. However, the result of banning a subnet is that a lot of IP's get blocked.

I have just started to work on a book that teaches programming. If I get good enough at this, one thing I want to do is write a program that will ban a person based on their computer NIC's address. I have heard that this was successfully done in the past but that the program was never made public. True or not I don't know. If I were able to do this then the only way a person could come back would be to actually physically remove their NIC and install a new one. Sure, NIC's are cheap, but who would want to do this every time they wanted to play?

Of course I am just starting to learn so this is a ways off. But it is a goal.

Without this blackhole, one day will appear playing Deep Thrombosis and Lovejoy simultaneously...

Personally, I believe that Lovely and Memetic are actually a team that enjoys going from clan to clan causing mayhem. I think that Lovely has learned to do the proxy thing from Memetic.

Just my opinion. Either way, they both are a menace to our society.

Tommy it might be worth looking into that Warner Bros uses the NIC to identify people who pirate their movies and they have the power to ban them from their sites from what Ive read.

I think getting rid of Memetic, SS, and Lovely is worth it at ANY price. They are detrimental to having fun and our way of life here. They are a cancer that spreads frustration and grief.

That's how banning people works on vbulliten forum software as well, it bans the nic so jumping IP doesn't help.

That would mean banning the MAC address, which would be awesome!
