Its very confusing for Admins when members chance their name, without any notification on the forum. Anyone who wants to change his name should at first make this a public anouncement on the forum ![list]

C'mon /3ison, you know what I mean to say here. When 2Big change his name, we still know it his him. He's on TS and he doesn't change his name totaly to another one.
If more members would change their name on a sudden, without giving some info on the forum, how will we gonna know who is who?
How do we know who's on the server with a DOU tag without any info given? Dont tell me to check IP's, because I'm pretty sure you dont have them all. The whole issue is working counterproductive.
To me it seems only logical to let the community know that you've changed your name, we already do have problems enough with regular players on the server. If a player shows up with the DOU tag and I am not familiar with the name and have no info on any namechange it will be a kickable offense for me.
Am I the only one here who thinks that it isn't usual to change your name without letting your fellow members know about it? 😕

I agree with your point.
On fact, this is not the first time that a DOU member change his nickname. For example Cyg, used Cygnus_X_1 or something similar, but we can know who is in fact. Grubb changes his nickname according his alcoholic degree. (Lately he has seen ghosts). But we know he is. 2Big is a similar case.
But in this other story (Olient - Disaster, sorry Dister), this guy changed to an unknown nick for us. So I believe you are OK.
I think Bison is only playing a joke....

If I recall correctly a clan member is always supposed to play on any DOU server with their correct name and DOU tag to identify them.
That being said we have seen a lot of nick laming over the years so it is only natural when you see a name you don't recognize with a DOU tag in front of it you're going to wonder whether that person should be wearing the tag.
It may not be a rule but it would be courteous to the admins that spend so much of their time trying to keep our server idiot free if members who want to change their name would post something in the members section of the forum.
