My being in the list is obvious, or so I hope.

Darkmatter is a head admin because he has been here almost from the start and is always around, and level headed. He is definitely trust-worthy and reliable.

Dylan is a head admin because back when I had my personal situation a few years ago he stepped up and took care of the clan server financially. For the past several years, minus any donations that we receive, Dylan pays half the cost of the server, on a monthly basis, that we provide all of our resources on. This does not include the web services that were made possible by other generous and appreciated clan members (and in a few cases, non-members). Dylan is a better friend to this clan then many of you may realize, and definitely deserves his position. Also, he is around most weekend mornings playing freeze tag with us, stop by and say hi in TS3 sometime.

So let me get this strait, if Dylan was admin and trying to control a player breaking the rules, and I a three year member, that has been here at least one day a week both in game and on vent/TS3, have made a small donation, admin the server when needed, I am active in the fourm and play freeze tag most weekends, and have taken on a recruit. If I were to step in where it was none of my business and tell Dylan to F%$^ off and call him a pussy in a busy public server, would I not be up for a 30 ban?

An apology would have gone a long way here but I see no post from The_One.

I agree - an "Im sorry for this drama" and "I'll take care of it" would go a whole lot further than "the clan is out of control" and "things are going to change here".

Still I am in dis-belief of the ego-centric post made by Dylan.

And I also believe that the ACTIVE clan has spoken.

Being Darkmatter between the head administrators is a big guarantee for all of us. A good news.

On the other hand, I understand the ties that bind you to Dylan and of course you are free to decide to put him in the position he is.

The important thing is that he understands the responsibility he assumed, since this clan you created, and that has its own life, is composed of many people, men and women around the world, with all kinds of cultures that deserve the same respect than the head administrators.

During our recruitment we all receive, repeatedly, the indication that our behavior should be in every way, better than any of our guests. Respect for persons has been stressed repeatedly by you, mAmA and Cyg. I like to believe that Dylan received the same instructions from his sponsor.

So we learned to expect that if we were to be the best, the head administrators should be even better.

I remember the story of ]TKK[Underdog and his son Tapout. Underdog humbly accepted the blame for his son and also accepted with humility the ban for Tapout that affected him too. He could come to the forum to insult us, but he did not. He prefered to apologize.

That was the attitude of one of our guests, so we expect no less of the head administrators.

I want Dylan to read these lines, that he understands that his lack of self-criticism and his threats, is doing damage to the clan and also to you.

To apologize does not bring down to anybody.

Some times I just like to get in the server to play a game, but every time I get in I see NUKER, or NATAN yelling at a player for something, the server use to be different, I dont know about you but when I come around a corner and I meet up someone my first instinct is to shoot.. I realize cursing on the server was wrong and I'm sorry for that, and that won't happen again, I'll take it to the forum next time, but I was just watching my brother playing and I said I was gunna get in and play, then I saw nuker yelling at someone again, I just got sick of it, and I'm not sorry about yelling at him, I'm sorry for cursing on the server, it was a long time coming...

there are rules in this server and they are their for a reason just because you have been here longer than most members does not give the right

to break them when you feel like it.

i don't agree to ban the hole ip.

i understand we have had problems with some of the names that come from that ip but this thread is about {DOU}The_One.

As a member yes it is highly looked down upon for the outburst in the server and as such promoting more punishment cause he is a member and not just that but an Admins/Clan members son that alone cause high expectations.

Being a member Or dou-r Dose Not Exclude Anyone From The Rules.

{DOU}The_One if you can be respectful enough to give the 30 days without going to the sniper server please keep in mind that dose not ban you from the run and gun servers we have nor the freeze tag server.

In hopes this will lighten up the eyes of the other names from that ip

i think its time we give more word about are run and gun servers we have as well as the last man standing.

those servers was made for us its time we use them.

However i agree with a bit of things needing changed.

We have a very crowded server at this moment, so therefor there are also a lot of new players that don’t know the rules. Some of them don’t even understand the English language. So yes you will see an Admin talk (not yelling!) to a player to read and obey the server rules every now and then. If we don’t do that, than regular players are going to leave the server, which is happend more then once. A crowded server just needs more observation and regulation. I’m sure there are servers who would like to have this luxury problem.

I’m fine with your rializing that cursing on the server is wrong and that you appologize for that. It’s however realy a No Go to discuss any Admins actions on the server. Put it on the forum if you don’t agree with some descisions that are being made, but don’t argue about it on the server. I’m sure we can have a mature discussion about it using the forum.

The only good excuse for your behaviour that comes to my mind is puberty.

Well as we should all be able to see. The One in all of his wisdom and honesty is not really sorry for anything but cussing on the server which I personally could give to shits about. In reflection of his other well written and touching entries today we should all be able to relatively discern that he is untouchable due to his longevity and personal ties in the clan.

And since we all don't personally fund the server nor play freeze tag every weekend - we should be grateful that we have a place to play UT99 at all and be happy.

I don't think that profanity in itself should ever be frowned upon. It's the cursing AT other members that is the problem.

Exactly. This is about the total lack of respect shown admins by someone who thinks he's above clan rules.

Profanity has always been a part of the server as long as it isn't done to the point of becoming spam.

I wasn't going to vote at all until I read his response or lack thereof. Why this IP is not friggin banned for 30 days yet is beyond me.

It would have taken just a little courage to apologize to Nuker publicly and move on. Everyone would have forgotten about it in a week or so. Instead, The One and Dylan by proxy decided to double-down going after Nuker and now Natan under the guise of "the server has changed". The One's response now has become more toxic than the original action itself and the repuation of a few members has been severely tarnished in the eyes of what seems to be the vast majority of the membership.

It's never too late to claim a brief moment of insanity and correct what is wrong and do the right thing. Happens to everyone. Believe it or not, people WILL respect that. Whether or not there is too much water under the bridge now will be decided by the active members I'm sure in the near future.

You obviously fail to see the point here. This is not about cursing on the server. This is about your total disrespect towards the Admins, people who spend their valuable time policing the server so it is not taken over by a bunch of childish butt heads trying to ruin the fun. All the rules being enforced on the server were chosen by the Clan as a whole. You chose not to be part of the decision making process and don't like the way the game is being played and enforced.....TOUGH!!!!

You need to grow up take responsibility for YOUR actions. Stop trying to ride on "Daddys" coat tails. You broke one of the biggest most important rules. The Admins could be playing not babysitting. Our server could be total chaos but for the efforts of our Admins.

Be a man, step up, take responsibility, and let us all move on.
