{DOU}The_One 30 days ban vote.

The_One resigned from the clan last night so he no longer has access to the clan area of the forum.

Wow how badly do you guys handle these things he was as it is now a clan member with a clan member as his father, did any of you think to get a hold of dylan in either team speak or even just to p.m him to sort this out before demanding a beheading ???????

Yes the one did things wrong i totaly agree he needed talking to for all that he posted on the server but to jump to the he needs a 30 day ban before any of this was even talked about properly is insane and i think the 30 day ban needs looking at its supposed to be a 30 day ban not permanent like it has become now. i re-read the post about it becoming permanent in which i replied, but i actually misread it originally i thought it said players should come to the server to apologise which is right but i do not agree they need to beg to be let back on the server they get the 30 days then if they screw up its permanent not permanent if they dont come and beg and plead there case to be let back on the server.......

As a member, and mainly as a "head administrator" you could post some days ago, and gave us that suggestion about to talk Dylan first, but you did not, so is also your fault. You need to handle the things better as well.

If you do not read properly the forum, and you need to re-read the topics to realize what is said, is your fault also.

We usually wait for a guide line from the gods of the Olympus, but most of time all you are absent. You waited till today, the gods of Olympus meeting, to open your mouth. Why?

Is hard for you to give us a guide line at the oportune moment?

Or you are afraid about being penalized by Dylan too.

As a member, and mainly as a "head administrator" you could post some days ago, and gave us that suggestion about to talk Dylan first, but you did not, so is also your fault. You need to handle the things better as well.

Sorry i gave the sniper server admins more credit, i actually thought you would of seen dylan and told him what was happening rather then just post in the security area about it and yes i suppose i should of read the threads more again i guess i gave you more credit to actually police yourselves as i posted above a pm or chat in teamspeak could of sorted this out far easier and quicker, the first email i received was from you R-Mad but the problem of forum post's was just tacked onto a pm about something else. as for being frightened or siding with dylan ask him i told him he needed to kick the ones ass i am not on any ones side here as i posted i see problems on both sides.

As for the gods of Olympus statement if you really want that analogy then remember you the peasants went to them not we to you....

Darkmatter, first of all I respect you and I think you are the one that always keeps his head cool. I appreciate the things you do for the clan and always give advice when is needed when I talk to you on teamspeak. However it is too easy to say we did handle this badly even though I think you are right, seeing this all in retrospective.

When you’re personaly involved in this whole discussion Like R_Mad, Nuker, me and others along the way, who where attacked in a very personal way, it’s not that easy to keep your head cool.

I can understand the disapointment of R_Mad towards you, but I can also understand that sometimes it is better to look at these kind of situations from behind the side line. If it was for the better in this case is hard to say for the moment. Maybe this can be a lesson for all of us (including the headadmins) on how to deal with this kind of behaviour from a clan member in the future.

Don’t see this as an attack on you, because it isn’t. Maybe we’re just a bit disapointed in how things could come this far. I know I can always count on you when I need you and I know I can find you on teamspeak most of the time, but if a headadmin would had stepped in at an earlier moment (not as Dylan did) we’ve all could have saved us some unnecessary headaches.

• I just did read your reply on R_Mad and you are right we’ve could have better sent a PM to Dylan. That is what I’ve would have done knowing what I do know now. I understand he must also be in a difficult possition with his son involved, but I’ve hardly seen him on the forum or on the server, maybe that makes him more unfamiliar and harder to PM to.

Do you believe honestly that information given by administrators about The_One behaviour was a lie or a fake?

I saw The_one running lot of times.

I have captions about guest claims about The_One behaviour. I never posted it because I was trying to be ecuanimous.

He deserves a penalization. But I believe the penalized will be us.

The proceedings were correct. Those are the clan proceedings approved by you.

The post coming from Dylan was arrogant. He could stop this problem easily. without offending all us saying things like drama, clan out of control, and that he need to do a cleanliness.

And with respect to the financial part: Is Dylan a donor or an investor?

If he is a donor, he should leave Tommy to solve this and to step aside.

If he is an investor, look like he is using his investiment to convert the server in his son's playgroud, with rules for members and guests, an other rules for his family.

I have received insults and offensive gestures from The_One, but I guess that will not count for all you, speaking about our faults but till today without any comment about The_One behaviour first in the server and now in the forum.

Finally, I said the gods of the Olympus because all this seems like a capricious action of the gods, and not a democratic thing among pairs.

Ok it may seam like i am on the ones side but what more can i say than i agree he needed his ass kicked for what he said in the server but as adults the admins should of handled it better non of you thought to mention it or more so make a point of making sure head admins as you want to put it actually new about it, to me that is common sense then just posting it to a thread in the forum and hoping it gets seen now you all know i do not follow every thread in the forum i guess you will say i should but there you go as posted i gave you more credit then i should of.....

You started a poll to ban a player thats a long standing DOU member thats also connected to one of the head admins that kept the server online when our fearless leader was having his troubles. And also continues to keep the server online. Hopefully that clears up my position in the clan. That being said, of course I'm going to step in. Banning of that ip was going to ban 4 other DOU members. I know this was noted in this thread and brushed off as the nature of the internet. Thats just not good enough for me. Thats why I asked to take this matter and handle it in a different way. Then you proceed to question another head admin, namely DarkMatter. I will not stand by and let this disrespect go un-noticed...

Allright everyone. This is still escalating and IMO has the potential to fragment my favorite place to hang out online.

We all need to be constructive here and try to work together instead of butting heads.

DarkMatter is right in saying that this could've been handled better. And not by just certain people but by all sides. Not all avenues in handling this situation were pursued until it had already seemed to have escalated into a contest of wills and attitude.

What we need to do IMO is review our policy in relation to what happened and get something set so we have a specific procedure in place to deal with situations like this in the future.

Yes, I started a poll to ban 30 days, a member named The_One, for breaking rules and insulting an administrator in the server, according the internal proccedings of this clan, and after a large discussion in other topic that probably you did not read. The proposal for a 30 day ban was made for the active clan, not only for me, but I wrote the poll.

On the other hand, I know your special position in the clan because that was informed for your fearless leader, but named Tommy for me, and I had no problems with that after all. Tommy's decisions are not my bussiness and are not in my points. I respect him and always I followed his advices and opinions because these are centered opinions, and said in a respectful way.

Banning the IP was not said for me anywhere. I thought only The_One must honor the ban.

This is the point of all. You do not asked to take this matter and handle it in a different way. You came here, giving orders and adding this exactly words: "A lot of things are going to change in the near future. Our clan has gotten out of hand with a lot of winning and unnecessary drama. It will be cleaned up."

Why that words? Why this so negative diagnosis, if you have never come here, not at least to say hello neither you have been employed at any task of the clan, except to finance it?

In what a work you did, did you based your diagnosis?

Did you remember giving us a line of action, a suggestion or an advice?

An administrator leads, works every day with people, establishes goals and tasks and follows them closely. And later it does diagnoses and establishes improvements.

According this, and the other facts, you are not an administrator, but only a financial inversor.

I work every day. I stay every day a while in the server, a while in the forum. I do traductions from english to spanish and portuguese and viceversa, I had spent two years till now, to learn to do maps, to built maps for the clan. A genuine ones. A true DOU maps; I donated money. I've sponsored some of the best members of the clan. I have two kids, and one of them is 9 y.o. but I never authorized him to play in the server. I'm loyal to the clan. I'm transparent, with some defects but I never kiss asses. But mainly, I never abused of the different levels of power I get during this time.

So that I do not have anything what to be ashamed.

Respect you, you are arrogant, unable to do a self-criticism. It was unnecessary that you scrub to all that you pay the server. We also can pay it. Even alone I might pay it. And I hope Tommy ask for donations to all the members in order that he stops depending on your interested help.
