As per the topic above in the general area, the reason erickcalmet cannot connect is because his subnet was banned due to eberybodys urging that I blackhole Bostero.
The 2 options are to leave this guy banned or unban Bostero. Might even be the same person for all I know. Or not.
What say you people?

Its the price to pay. Keep Bostero banned and explain to erickcalmet how things are.
Fuck-em!
Apparently people really dislike Bostero. I suspect that it might be him posting anyway.

Got this off of game tracker:
PLAYER SUMMARY Player Name: Peace
First Seen: May 01, 2010
Last Seen: May 09, 2010 at 1:22pm
That info is for our server.
Bostero was also playing during that period which leads me to think these are 2 different people.
If his IP is static can it be excluded from the ban?
If we can't unban him w/o letting Bostero return I say we have to ban both.
The Jargonaut said this guy IP is from Montevideo. Uruguay.
But the IP mentioned for erickcalmet is from Venezuela.
Bostero is from Argentina...
What size is the black hole?
Tommy... you may have banned all South America ... 😛
I checked the IP that he posted to the forum from. It is the same as the one he mentioned in the forum above. Maybe the whois site that I used is wonkey. First one that came up in Google. Either way, if he can not be unbanned without unbanning Bostero, then I will go with the majority.

As per above. 😆
Grasshopper.
yup, unfortunate but necessary. If an exception cannot be made for his ip ban both.

Sometimes when you look up an I.P., it tells you the parent company that owns the I.P. and not the place the person is playing from. That's why a lot of times it looks like 2 people are from the same area but are in fact far apart. The subnet ban in place is just for a specific place and not wide in range.

I'm afraid I can't comment on this as much as I would like to. I don't have the accumen regarding banned IP ranges and how they affect the banned player's "neighbors".
It seems that the question is how many good players are worth Bostero's ban. If that answer is just erickcalmet, the juice is not worth the squeeze to un-ban some IP's. If someone could tell me what kind of geographic area Bostero's ban has affected, that would be very helpful.
Is there some sort of directory or atlas of IP addresses that can be referenced? If not, why don't you DOU computer guys come up with one and retire in a few years? Then I can head-shot you more often. 😀
