Excalibur

I'm glad someone started a thread on this guy (Thnx Cyg).

He comes to vent often, likes the game a lot, in fact a little too much. He has quite the ego. Many have speculated that he is cheating somehow. I have wondered myself a few times.

Once, in the map Specials place, I was up high on top of a picture. I shot him, looked around for anyone else I might find to shoot, then I stepped sideways back through the portal which moved me across the room into a bottom drawer. When I got there Memetic was waiting there and shot me. When I asked him about it he said he hadn't seen me and it was just coincidence he ended up there. This guy is very cocky and always goes after anyone who dares to shoot him. I doubt that was anything other than revenge. Also, not only does he always seem to know where everyone is but this guy can draw a bead on a speck across the map faster than anyone I've ever seen.

He is not welcome at ZSZ, I am definitely keeping an eye on him, the rest of you should also.

Excalibur was in a few minutes ago - botted for a map and left.

Thanks DM. I dropped the alleged alias from the thread title. I'm sure somebody recently told me it was memetic bit there's so much crap going on I probably confused the two.

As long as he's one the Canadian troublemakers there's more reason to keep a close eye and a short leash on him.

Watched him on laundry tonight and he was on the shelf in the little room. It was odd how he could quickly find and pick off people but he couldn't hit either of two redeemers that presented easy shots for him.

Then on Dogtown it seemed like he knew where people were and I mentioned my observation about the redeemer to him.

The next map was Pond and he got his ass handed to him big time and he accused Poorboy of cheating.

IMO he's got radar or something tied in to a hot key. He seemed like an average player at best when he knew I was looking over his shoulder so I think he quit using it.

He claims he's a good player with 10 years experience. I told him I'm not so sure.

That's exactly what that invisible UK dude said when I asked how he could run along, turn and pop someone immediatly, with a 200 ping.

That does present quite an oddity, able to hit people so quick and not the redeemer. Pyro and I were discussing the same thing about hotkeys, from what we've read some cheats are set up that way now so they can better hide themselves.

I agree, I think there are several players using them on the server of late, Invisible UK is one for sure. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to play competitively with a 200 ping ( had close to one in a recent FN match, lagged so bad I couldn't even trans) let alone win a map.

I think we need to look hard at this next generation of cheats and decide how to handle it.
