General Server Chaos

I know we don't want to restrict the amount of fun we have on the server but the only way to enforce the rules without admin's on is with mods.

I am getting fed up too. I have been acting good lately: not complaining not replying but enough is enough. There is not only those ones acting bad. Jake_211 and Haunted are two to add.

I will be less there as well on the sniper server. That is just ridiculous.

This is really about our policies toward rule breakers. I still feel we are too tolerant.

It's one thing to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who is new to our server, it's another to need a thread 5 pages long before we decide to toss the offender off the server.

With the growing traffic on the server, and with it the growing number of jerks that come here to spoil peoples fun ( Let's face it, that's why they are here), I think we need to look at the way we are handling these problem players.

I don't think our policies have kept pace with the growth of the clan, or the server. Also I feel we would see less "Jerk" traffic if people knew we were less tolerant of this type of play. As with anything, word gets around.

If we got rid of every one of them, what would that represent ? 2% of our server traffic ? 3% ?

Yet that small percentage of players can ruin the playing experience for the majority of people that come here to have a clean camping game.

It affects my game too. Often when I enter Vent I get several people wanting me , not to play with them, but to watch this player or that player, or lately several players. It didn't used to be this way. It shouldn't be this way, but I don't blame them for wanting someone to help them. There are so few admins around and even when they are around the problem players just "make nice" till they leave and then go back to breaking rules.

The membership, in my mind, should be protected. Not allowed to be victemized over and over. The membership is the source of our donations, ideas, and the life blood of any clan.

I don't feel we are serving the best interest of the membership with our current security pollicies.

Might be a good idea to get a Ventrilo meeting set up and try to get a plan of action to deal with this growing problem. We need to get some kind agreement on what to do and get it done.

I agree - but lets not forget what a fucking debacle the whole JK thing turned out to be.

Anything else I have to say is entirely too negative and would for sure piss a lot the bleeding hearts and control mongers way off. For now I'll continue to post fun little images until someone actually does something.

My Opinion:

The server sucks right now and as i have stated before, i don't want to play on it until some of the scum bags that play on in right now are being punished. I too feel that there is not enough being done. I think that people are getting kicked multiple times then coming back on the server somewhat pissed because they are being criticized on the way they play so they come in and act worse when no admins are around.

I think that many of the guests who break rules or are douches get away much to easy with their kicks. I like the good old idea of 3 strikes and your OUT, and if they can change ip's then a black hole should be implemented.

At that, many players on this list do switch their IP's and are on a KOS list. I will see an admin come in and play instead of dealing with the problem player. I dont mean to take away from anyones fun. I just simply mean after you have found a spot. Login as admin and implement the KOS. Boot them from the game for that match and return to your game. Atleast that would make me feel better.

But i am not here to just criticizes admins, yall do try, you just cant be there all the time. If yall would like me to do anything to help i'd be more then happy to, after all i got all summer long to relax and have to much time on my hands now. Yall schedule your meeting and hopefully that will solve quite a few problems.

Nice post mama, I agree we are too lax sometimes. And generally when you do decide to kick the trouble player, quite a few others will say something supportive. It's not just us that are getting pissed at these bad players.

Rev, most of those are not on the KOS list now since it was revised and the ban list cleared. Some never were. I really think about half the people you listed there should be added back to it, particularly =&. He always does the same shit that earned him that spot. Some like youbie and bostero have been around long enough and know the rules and still just want to fuck up everyone's fun. We should just catch them once, warn them, if they do it again, strike one and kicked for the map.

I think there definitely needs to be some tougher secuity rules for these trouble makers. Especially those that know the rules, have been warned a hundred times, and for some reason are still allowed to play here, cough =&, cough cough.

I don't think something like a 3 strikes rule for repeat offenders is out of line here. Whatever we do, it should be simple, clear, and there should be no argument about enforcing it.

The DOU membership should be the ones enjoying protection here, not those that break the server rules and spit on the admins.
