I agree, sitting out a map is not a death sentence. Allthough the way some folks react to it you'd think it was.

I think there is a big difference between players that are real new and just don't get it yet and assholes that try to come off that way to see how long they can abuse us. I think we need to distinguish between the two.

It might take warning or kicking someone a few times to get their attention but after that if there's no change in their behavior it's usually no accident. We shouldn't have to read six months of complaints and numerous " It's not my fault I'm a victem" posts before something is done about it.

I think our rules for dealing with problem players need revamping. We need to define the process more carefully and apply it consistantly. Kinda like baseball 1,2, 3 strikes your out. Next ? Some simple and easy to follow guidelines.

The endless appeals for our giving them another chance seem ridiculous at a point. We have a lot of regulars that enjoy comming here to play. Members and non-members alike. Why make all of them suffer while some jackoff gets his 20th chance ?

I am in a Clan for Battlefield the game, and they give a few warnings, then a Ban. And a player has the right to a Ban appeals in the forums.

And from what I have seen, it works very well.

There is a section for the Banned player and ip in the forums. "Two Sections"= easily dealt with problems.

If a player wants to play on the server, appeal it and then we can decide.

I warned him the other day about killing players while his trans was dropped and he did it again today. I kicked him straight away without further warnings.

I wasn't on vent at the time as my kids screwed up access somehow (Be hitting up DM to fix that as soon as I find time.)

Hung around long enough for him to return....here went the conversation after he asked what happened:
