Earlier in the day it starts like this, 65.35.198.223 is X7...he goes and changes the server settings, and then stops the server with people on it playing, no warning...no reason to stop the server other than to fuck around.

You don't need to really understand the specifics to see that he is trashing the server and leaving "fucku" messages in a way that I would be sure to see them if I was reading the logs (which I do).

I can break down the rcon commands, if anyone is interested, and explain exactly what each of them was...but I think it is pretty obvious that his intent was to cause the server as much harm as he could with the limited access that he had, and then via the "fucku's" let me know that he did so.

This thread is open to posts from everyone. I'm actually encouraging comments.

Be aware that I have not yet taken away X7's access to this area. He should feel free to read and post here as well.

Also, I heard, thought I have not seen it myself, that he has removed all mention of DOU and it's servers from his personal web page. I'm assuming a quit here, but lacking any official word from him an assumption isn't good enough. Therefore I will handle this as though it is still in question.

As for his membership status, I will create a seperate thread for that.

I had to change the Quake 2 server password. I forgot to change the rcon password though.

Rather then ask me for the new password (which I would have given him), X7 decided to go on a rampage. He used the rcon to completely fuck the server over and do as much damage as possible.

The unfortunate part is that he also had the password to the UT99 sniper server (but not the redeemer server). When he was done fucking the quake 2 server, he moved over and proceeded to give the sniper server a good fucking over too.

Fortuantely I was able to fix the servers quickly. Unfortunately I wasn't home all day so the Quake 2 server remained in bad shape and the sniper server down all day.

Fucking pissed off doesn't even begin to describe how I am right now.

I had to change the password on the server in the middle of the night, I figured that those who needed access would see it and come to me for the new one (was too tired to worry about it at the time). I assume he thought he was being cut off and decided to strike out at me. Too bad too, I was goiing to give him the new password.

But regardless of the reason, his actions cannot be explained away. An "oops, my bad, sorry!!!" ain't gonna cut it this time, not after trashing both servers. I don't think that I am over-reacting on this one. No way I would *ever* trust him with server access again...the love is gone baby, it just ain't there no-more.

With this type of over-reaction, he obviously can't be trusted with any clan/server priveleges. Too bad some people can't behave in a civil manner. Just gotta make an ass of themselves.
