New UTDC 1.7

SoReal has been disconnected several times because of a "timeout" (she was angry because it was wrong) with our 1.6 version (we had before).

I don't think it's because of the 1.7 ?...

Otherwise, Alienclan was using UTDC an now they use PURE... I don't know why... May be this is a better one ? 🙄

I think it's an upgrade of 1.6 but 1.7 should be really upgraded ?..! 🙄

1.6b fixed a fatal error in 1.6 that would cause crashes all the time (and it did). 1.7 is the next update from 1.6.

Time-out's occur regularly with people who have dial-up access to the internet. If something gets congested and their ping goes too high then they time-out. UTDC is actually just reporting this, it is not the actual cause of it. It says "Kicked because of a time-out," meaning the client has already timed-out, UTDC is just cleaning up the mess.

Before we fool with this, lets wait for the new server. The new server will be on a level 3 network. This means that not only will some people see a better ping, but the pings you have in the game will be more stable. If you ever look at your pings in game from time to time, you will see that it jumps around a lot. This should change (in theory anyway).

So lets see what happens first, and then if need be try to fix it.

The new server should be going live very soon.
