Problem Players Policy Change ?

If you have a player on the server that is banned or on the kick on sight list you can kick or ban them through the RSA.

If you need to determine whether or not a player is a problem, or whether or not a player is running a cheat, there is no substitute for spectating.

Agreed. Unless the rule infraction is witnessed first hand while playing by an admin and is painfully obvious (ex: problem player X continues to assault the admin while playing). That's when I would say it's OK for an admin to kick and thus call a strike on the problem player.

So next time you are in vent with someone that can spectate ask them the password.

As said, RSA is great for KOS people and seeing what is being said without them knowing you are listening in. That's the problem with spectating, they know you are there and they behave more. I often see something said on the RSA that makes me go watch someone specific, or catch something they sure wouldn't say when they knew we were there.

That's probably why I have only kicked a few players, I don't see shit.

All DOU members have spectator rights and all admins are required to spectate players, so dont get what you mean here about no longer being admin?

Hell I didnt know this either and there has been MANY times this would have come in handy even if just to have a witness to some problems.I looked long and hard for a password and no luck.I was told the same thing,"spectator previlages are for admins only". So what is it (A) All clan members can spectate

or

(B) Spectating is for admins only

???

At one time members were allowed to spectate. Then we had problems with admins not being able to get into the server to help because members were going in to spectate and staying there for long periods of time while not being in Vent. Some were not going in to help but to figure out where people's hiding spots were. A very few got into trouble for watching in spectator and then comming into the game to play knowing where everyone was hiding.

The last I heard, Admins were the only ones allowed to spectate. If it changed I didn't get the memo.
