As it happens from time to time someone takes issue with somebody running a map by using deemers.

On some maps, deemers are located in such a place that makes it impossible to frag the deemer user without close-killing or assault resulting in a deemer user being able to run a map unchallenged. This is an unfair advantage. Because of this we used to waive those rules when using a deemer was involved. Is this still policy?
I believe so. Which makes it confusing to people. U must not assault but you may if they are flying a deemer. Ewe may not close kill, unless they are flying a deemer. You must camp on this server, unless you are playing 24hr fitness then it is a freestyle server.

Yes it is still policy that it is alowed to close kill when a player uses a redeemer. I do it ever so often. I will even use a deemer to close kill someone who uses a deemer 😆
If you are flying a deemer we consider that you are on the place where the deemer flyes at that moment, not where you are standing with the deemer in your hands.
The only problem I somtimes encounter is that it is not always immediatly visible to see if the person is using the deemer or has just grabbed it and is holding it just in his hands.
So yes, I shoot when I see a deemer in someones hand when he is using it obviously. If he is just holding it I will make an exception or will wait till he uses it.
As for the post of Tanequil: I don't think he had a deemer at that particular moment when he was close killed. That's how I read it though.

Lately there are many players that the only thing they do is use Deemer all the time, when that happens I prefer to get out of the server and go to another or play something else until they leave.
Use the deemer when you find it is good but I think that players vote maps always have deemer :herestoyou: and this playes always go for the Deemer although this far from where they were reborn. :nonono:

Deemers are fun, however... the majority of the time i wish most of the maps didn't have deemers.
Of course, there should be exceptions, such as concrete jungle and shrapnel bay, under fire records, maps that have plenty of deemers to go around.
Maps like thanatopia where there aren't enough deemers to go around need to go. Imagine thanatopia without deemers. you wouldn't have much shooting because people are all in secrets...
there was another map, i cant remember the name of it. it has a river in the middle, a slightly sloped incline on either side with short houses, in the backleft of one of the sides there's a secret building that has two deemer spawns in it. this map simply needs the deemers and secret room removed, and some obsticals placed in the streets to prevent hallway camping. Also, move the sky teleporter over to on on top of the sky platform, otherwise there is image dropping from the teleporter.
Lakeside city has one deemer spot that i'm aware of in a place where it is impossible to kill the player shooting it even with another redeemer.
All versions of derelict city have several deemers, though i don't think there are enough deemers to make it a "deemer map", same with redeemerville ironically.
Massive Bedrooms needs the pink room dresser fixed so that it is possible to kill the player within the deemer spot( add light to the secret area and close the backdoor ).
In my opinion we should have two listings on the map select, Deemer maps and Regular maps, where regular maps have deemers removed. However, how often do you think people will vote in a "deemer" map other than to piss someone else off?

We do have a sniper/deemer server. So using the deemer is as legal as using the sniper gun.
nuker won't run across the map to get to a deemer spot.
On MBR I can cram a deemer in anywhere someone is shooting it from, that's the fun of shooting back at people that have them. I mostly enjoy deemering on shrapnel bay spending all my flying time looking for other deemer shooters, in particular deadeye. I've often passed up easy targets when I thought I could get the other pilots instead. And yes shooting someone while they are flying is quite satisfying and according to the rule.

Deemers are entertaining. I would be pissed if we ever lost them.
I wouldn't want to see the Deemers go either. Always been part of DOU.
Tanequil's sponsor will need to go over our policy regarding Deemers. It doesn't look like he may be aware of it.
The biggest problem I have with deemers is they always land on me, I guess that's my problem.
