Server rules

I just copied and pasted the rules from the main forum page to replace the ones posted in the UT99 part of the forum.

However, Rule #2 there read 2) No Teaming Up - You are not allowed to co-ordinate or team up with another player.

I kept that one in, replacing the 'no close revenge' rule.

Nobody ever updated that rule into the ones found on the home page.

I agree with Evil. The 'no close revenge' rule is now redundant. Get rid of that and replace it with the 'no teaming' rule and then no renumbering will be required and both sets of rules should be identical.

I am going to re-do some stuff so that there will only have to be one set of rules to deal with should there be any future changes.

I think to myself, that it would be good if basic rules were displayed on the screen while a player is joining a game.

I don't know how many would actually stop to read the rules but it's a short format. At least they couldn't say they were never told the rules.

I imagine that you can't click off of it. You must look at this for about 4 seconds and read, and then you join game without click off. If you don't accept the rules, you will simply disconnect and go away .

I like this idea a lot. I envision a sign similar to Dad's that every player has to click accept (or No thanks, later!) before logging on to the server.

My question is: can it be physically be done? If not, we're barking up the wrong tree.

yes it can be done, but should it be done no way, like bison said it gets old real quick having to click off it or wait for the time its set before you can join. Want to pop in for a quick game well wait 4 mins before you can even join the server and see how quick that game becomes...
