I sent this off to Evil Dragon to get the ball rolling...

I thought you should know there's been some trouble makers who used to plague ZSZ and have recently been giving DOU problems. It has come to the point where we banned 2 out of the 3 offender's ISP and we believe they have been impersonating several clan members including Tommy, Dylan, Oban and abberration(recruit).

AngryDad made me aware of their names on ZSZ's forum and we at DOU would appreciate it if we could get this resolved.

Not sure but I think that noshadow thing is just people running the brightness change. Not technically a cheat, just UTPure catches it. Everyone in the FN 5v5 runs that. It's built into the game, so not technically a cheat and allowed in the rules. Like changing the FOV or stuff like that.

That is Abberration's IP, it's also mine because it's my brother and he's living at my house right now. I know he doesn't have any cheats on there, I installed his UT and set it up for him. He only over tried playing on ZSZ once but I know he's clicked it accidently before. I have too, in the favorites list. Now he just always playes here. Should remove it from the list, never play there anyway. I would say that might just be UTPURE not liking the brightness mod. Unless the cheaters have found and spoofed our IPs now.

Ok I guess that is all it is. No big deal then.

I sent Tommy numerous emails showing him those logs, I left messages on MSN to please get back to me, I sent him PMs via your forum, finally via AngryDad I managed to get in contact with Darkmatter who wanted to forward the logs to Tommy - but still NOT ANY REPLY.

I'm sorry that in the end now this arrived in our forum but as you see I really tried everything first.

Anyways, by all means let's try and resolve it now.

I know about these trouble makers. But the IP's of the logs don't refer to them at all. The offenders are all Canadians, located around Montreal, if you trace the IP's shown in our forum you'll find they are all from US.

But if Tommy has any other idea to help fixing this issue then please tell him to get back to me!Your forum shows he checks in there each day so it does not look like he's not around - and it's just beyond my why he seems to refuse to reply in this matter.

I sent back a reply explaining it was nothing more than using a console command to adjust brightness and I also asked for JK47 in addition to the others names to be removed from the list.

I've now gone back and forth on this with Evil Dragon a few times.

I explained the command to adjust the brightness to her but she's unable to make it work. I then went to ZSZ's server to try it for myself and was autokicked for "Illeagal file: D3DDrv.dll (possibly hacked)". The game I'm running is UT99 v436. Aside from hotkeying the adminlogin and a few messages I haven't even loaded a cache cleaner or anything else so it is as about as stock as you can get and it failed to pass their security check.

I explained this to Evil Dragon and told her that their security was oversensitive and/or flawed in some way.

Personally I don't care if I can't play there....I have plenty of places to go but I strongly dislike the idea by posting what she did on ZSZ's cheater list she's made out several DOU to be cheaters.

I would also disregard anyone else on that list unless there's a specific hack listed. Anything else I will consider false positives.

But as for me making it worse that's bullshit since you've already done that. She tried getting ahold of you to get it straightened out and you blew her off.

I think they have their shit set up wrong if it kicks you just for that, and if they can't tell the cheats from stuff like this then no wonder no one plays on their server. Maybe that's the real reason all the zsz guys play here.

Cygnus of course she can't get it to work, it never works on a server. Must be done in your own practice session first. Plus she's obviously not that bright from the way she handled this. Mimetic and AD said they have some other stuff that does the same thing that zsz's server doesn't see, they just do it different.

Shouldn't they hide the IP's or at least that section from anyone who may stumble across it???

Anywho this "NoShadow" seems to be part of the Video rendition of the game... Why ban people for not using it?

What ever happened to the old fashioned challenge of straight up playing? Tweek here, tweek there, kind of saddening.

ZSZ is a great server and have been around for a loooong time. DOU is equally a great server and one that I hope is around for an equally long time. IMO the way ZSZ chooses to run their server shouldn't be of our concern. We should be concerned about our server and playing with our own personal integrity here, there or anywhere we go.

Did all those IP's actually belong to our people ? I know they were US (according to Evil Dragon anyway), but I thought Tommy hadn't been able to play for some time.

The date for tommy was jan 1st, dylan was jan 13. Dunno, but talked to dylan and it sounded like that was his.

I did not ask anybody to speak for me. As a matter of fact, I wanted it dropped.

That cunt at ZSZ does not know what she is doing and accuses people of things all the time. This is why I stopped talking to her, she is an asshole. Didn't know I had to clear that with anybody. I'll post here next time I have to take a piss to make sure it is ok too. Jesus fucking christ!

She already thought we were guilty, thus the posts. So by doing that she has now been empowered even more. The damage is now done.

Slacker came to vent last night after hearing about this. Yes, this is everywhere now, our clan is now considered like XIS and the like. He made accusations of his own. This is now going to get a lot worse.

There is a chance that this fucking brilliant move will be the end of DOU.

This sort of thing has happened in the past too. From now on, nobody is to represent the clan without the clans knowledge and approval. I didn't realize I needed to say this.
