Came back the next map. Asked why he was kicked.

He was told not to freestyle, close kill, assault etc.

Guess what..... caught him 2 times in a row. Close kills.

Kicked again!

Many people do not understand our rules which seem to them strange. Often asked for example, when he is killing up close, why they can not move if they do not see any target, etc. They were playing by different rules on other servers.

I think this is causing problems on their part.

We must patiently teach them - there is no other choice.

Like I mentioned it before. We have a kind of luxury problem here.

The more players on the server, the more newbies there will be probably among them.

I’m always trying to be patient with a lot of new players. I do make exceptions however. For example when they are wearing a tag from another clan I asume they know more about the game and the different rules on each server then the ones who haven’t played in years or the ones that are realy new to the game.

We’ve had complaints in the past that we didn’t kick the noobs, but only the “good” players. We expect from the so called good players more knowledge of the rules than from the new ones.

I agree that we must be patient with rule breaking players, but only to a certain level. If other players complaining about a player and I see some of them leave the server because of that, I’m going to push the kickvote button a little bit sooner than usual. If they come back the next map after being kicked, I expect that they have read the rules in the meantime. If they didn’t, I expect them to ask me what they did wrong. When I have explained why they have been kicked and they continue to break the same rules I strongly doubt if they have the intension to learn the rules.

I do fully agree on Rad’s post about being patient and clarifying the rules whenever it is needed, but don’t let it be one way traffic.
