He may be in the same area but it was a single ip banned so he wasn't caught up in the range ban, guess i will have to scan a few days of logs to find out who actually did it seeing no one is owning up to it . for now i have opened his ip up if he causes problems he can be re band .....

He was banned by web admin, if this keeps on happening the admin will need to be pulled it wasn't given out to be abused in this way. if there's a reason for the ban ok otherwise it should be kick only. I checked the logs over the last 4 days and nothing other then in one map when he was accused of running did anybody type in any complaint about him. on the other hand he complained about running and assault in quite a few maps and was not challenged that it wasn't happening he even got few apologies about them happening.....

I agree with DM. Web Admin wasn't given out with the idea that it be used for frivolous bans. NO ONE should be issuing a ban without a discussion in the security area.

If you can't use it responsibly you will lose the privelege and the sad thing is that you'll blow it for some of your clanmates too by not stepping up and taking responsibility for your actions.

You might also want to consider that banning without sufficient cause makes DOU look bad too.

Quite possibly someone clicked wrong meaning to kick him. Just something to think about before you get too worked up... Kick and ban are right there side by side, would be an easy mistake to make. I try to always double check when I kick someone to be sure I clicked the correct box on the correct player.

True, good point Evil.

Not getting worked up about it, i was making a statement if players get banned with out it being discussed first the admin will be pulled. if it was a mistake then two were made because no post was made about the player in question being kicked and that's a requirement too .......

I think Evil is probably right about this and the person who did it is afraid to fess up. Don't be. Mistakes happen. Just be sure to post about it so that it can be fixed instead of letting it go this far. No big deal.
