BIG PROB FOR NEW SKINS

I am running win 2k pro in my virtual box. If you gave me step-by-step instructions I could try to do it for you.

I run windows in a virtual environment on my Mac. I run Win 2k Pro now, but used to run XP Pro until I decided that it was too much of a resource hog for my machine.

Yes, on a Mac you can Run 2 OS's at the same time 🙂

No. It's not the multi OSes that amazes me. I just never thought you would run Windows. THAT is what amazes me.

Hey, Moon, I heard you are having trouble with the skinmaker. Try uninstalling it than reinstalling it using the XP Compatibility program to install it in Windows 2000 compatibility mode. Hopefully this helps and prevents you from having to uninstall any XP updates or completely reinstall XP.

Thanks Draco, I'll try this way (I'd love to avoid reinstalling my XP !!!!) 😕

mmm... I tried but I couldn't uninstall and install with the Widows program manager ?... It's not and install prog I have but a zipped folder with the .exe in it.

So, there is no install log for that prog in my Widows 🙄 😕 😕 😕

Sorry, Moon, I downloaded it and realized that it doesn't actually install. Right click on the '.exe file' and check if you can set it to run in Win98 or Win2k compatibility mode. It's been years since I ran or even played with XP because of this exact problem. Everytime there was a new update from Micro$oft, half my programs quit running. I love Linux! Hey there, Moon. I think I may have the problem solved. Get the latest drivers for your video card. Hopefully that will get the problem fixed. Let me know how it goes.
