Advertise?

It's not that we want to keep our server a secret as much as we don't want to take traffic from CG's or Kidcapri's.

But if you want to add DOU's 'deemer server to your elite list, I'd have no objections. However, any final say to that would have to come from Tommy.

Yup, I don't want to be a dick and steal away any other servers traffic either, but I wouldn't mind traffic finding it's way to us either.

I'd very much apprecite your listing us 🙂 I'll let you hard-core redeemer players deal with this, but feel free to do what you want.

And also freel free to advertise here, we have no restrictions in that regard. If people find something they like better then DOU, well, more power to them I suppose 🙂

Trust me when I say that this isn't a contest about who gets the traffic. This is strictly about keeping this mod and this style of gameplay out there for as many to see and enjoy as possible. Kid and I both have helped lots of people build their servers using the redeemer mod. Most do it but eventually convert it over to something else after a couple of months. Kid's is actually down last I looked meaning that the only servers like ours that still exist are ours. That scares me to be down to 2. Usually there have been 3-4 running at any given moment.

So, great! Now that is all said and is good, please tell me the exact name as you want it posted and it's current IP so I can link it to the autolaunch from the website. You guys are running a nice server and I love all of your rules and such being that I am a Server Nazi myself!

It is good to have another Deemer server out there. I think MEAT is interested in having regular tournaments too. I'm not into those and never join but if you have the time to put it together they can be lots of fun based on what I've heard about them in the past. BiGi just had one on his server the other day.

Bodacious is talking about turning his "Nuclear Winter Redeemer Arena" server back on late this year or early next year. Tha twill be cool as he ran lots of really good maps on it that many people liked and they preferred his ping to mine. Fine by me so long as they enjoy playing. Later all!

You can just drop the **New Redirect Server, Fast Downloads** and then it's perfect.

I'd be happy to organize something. If you give me some feedback on how others in the past went I can start the wheels turning in my head and see what we can do.

Do you have a ballpark figure for how many people play redeemer? Would be good to know so I can figure out how we would go about it.

And yes, I am not happy about our map rotation. Any feedback from anyone on what can stay and what should go would be greatly appreciated.

Lol Herm, this "secret" was my idea and I first asked all the players that were playing on both not to advertise on CG !!! I thought it wouldn't have been fair to DOU to take players away from your server after your gave help to set it up !

But I'm really glad to see you don't see things that way. I think of course both servers have to be known by every regs and noobs (as it appears Kid has definitly close his server)

As I already said to Tommy (the clan DOU admin) you're a true great guy Herm !!! Thanks for all your job

I'm afraid yes. He's been angry when the tourney has been done on Bigi's server (after having presumed it could have been on Kid's) 😥 😥 😥

I'm sad he considered things badly because he's always been a great guy !!!

Whatever things are going, I hope Kid will give news !

I doubt Kid would stop just for that. He is thinking about running other mods though so maybe it just has a new name and plays a different game. You are right. Kid is a great guy. I think he just doesn't know his server is off line right now. I hope he is OK. I have people checking in on him now. Later!

I was wrong. This is what I got back from Kid about his server:

I'm alive and kicking Herm. Everything is fine here but I'm getting out of the server business. Maybe Bo or Bigi will take up the torch and run with it but as of about two weeks or so ago I fiddled with the idea of changing up a few things and running it some more then just said to heck with it and shut it down for good. Was a good run and enjoyed it while it lasted.

I'll still be lurking around.....

This sux but I understand when it time to stop. I almost have several times and eventually will stop serving myself. Right now it is my best hobby so hopefully I'll get to keep doing it a while longer! Goodbye Kid. Your server will be sorely missed but we expect to see you around plenty still. Later all!

Redeemer Insanity now reflects the DOU Server as described above. Kidcapri's server was removed from the list this morning. I have a weird feeling about there being so few deemer servers right now. I hope all is good with everyone and I'll see yall on the servers. Later!

Hey Herm!

I just checked "redeemer arenas" on redeemer insanity....is that where it's supposed to be? I didn't see it.
