Bot farts

You think I'm that crazy...lol I'll kill a bot in heart beat.

BUT, I have played and suggested that during games with one or more people playing and with three or four bots, that we don't kill bots and only hunt each other. And in some games we would only telefrag the bots. It made for a better game. And those that were playing at the time didn't mind. They understood the idea and it also showed who the better player was.

That is (among many) the point that I am trying to make. Make the game fair for everyone and find out who the better players are. I really don't think there is a challenge to killing a bot. And way to many people will kill a room full of bots and act like they accomplished something. Bots are good for practice so why get on the internet and interact with real people if all you're going to do is kill bots?

I find that if I hang out long enough people start to show up. Only a few pure 'deemer servers around that I know of. DOU (Thanks Tommy), Curious George (Thanks Hermskii), and I think Kid Capris is now the server your mother warned you about (Thanks Kid wherever you are). Have a lot of folks that are joining Clan DOU that I have played many a game with on CG, yourself included MEAT. Darkmatter, Moon, Xerxes, Happy Fn Camper, Toons to name a few.

Try to post some times and get people on the server. As for myself I have a 2 year old, a pregnant wife, and a job that gives me an hour commute one way. I can usually get some time in on the weekends during nap time if the honey-do list is short enough and after 10pm EST after everyone goes to sleep. My limited time keeps me on the 'deemer servers as the sniper games are usually too long. I am a bit impatient too.

I have you're number...I'm just trying to make it fair so you can have a chance to win once in awhile. (unless you like connecting to the internet just to kill bots?) That is my only beef....at this time...lol

Forums are useless without posts/opinions/comments... I only post to ruffle feathers and pose or present questions to all my fellow enemies or foes. It's all in jest for the most part but still, why not add to the game? Without thought/knowlege we are just bots.

I totally agree with hermskii on this one better to start your own server and have it set and played the way you want it instead of jumping into servers and trying to endlessly change them to your way

Truth is CG dropped the bots down a bit back... I have alot of buds there I still like to play with and spend time with...and that server holds 10 peeps...I state our server IP there every once in awhile...I know what its like to have only 30 min to nuke and the server is full for 15 b4 I get in... Vote a big enough map and bots are less a balance shift. besides I wanna play big maps with low ping and 20+ players rockin the server....There are times for loops run n gun...and times to camp...you like hide n seek Meat...so do I...but I wanna be a well rounded player and enjoy 2 min matches also.

I wouldn't say "beginner"...but more of a innovator...even though a lot of my ideas/comments/posts are somewhat ancient or timeworn(beating a dead horse) to you old veterans, I'm still looking to revive the Redeemer. Trying to bring back that excitment from when we first starting playing and make it more of a challenge for all of us again.....especially for the old verterans. And don't get me wrong, Redeemer is a great game, fun to play, exciting to play at times and it will be around forever. And we can always play it by design. I just think it would be a great idea to have a different variation or modify what we have now to help hold our interest and attention. It's still a great game and concept for the new entries but after awhile even they leave.

And you're right, it's not a shame to think like a beginner....but it's a shame not to reach or explore for new ideas pertaining to an old game. And even though the ideas are old and repetitive (new to me because I'm new to this server/forum) at least I'm trying. I just hope know one else gives up trying?

I know that creating a server is a big work (I tried but I missed time in those times) but I'm sure that you should set up your server and show us your settings and resulting gaming.

May be it could be what we all wish and look for : best fun !... May be, if too few people come in and play, you could have results of real experience and modify your settings, find new maps (and there are lots of fantastic maps I already played on CG, Kids and NWRO) and so on... (and so did Herm)

The thing I do believe in is the more servers exist the more new players will grow up and become numerous enough FOR ALL SERVERS !

A few FEW months ago, there often were many players on CG AND on Kidcapri's !... That's the key of good future games !

Sounds good in theory....more servers equal more players....as long as the sites are not identical.

But what I'm looking for is to add something different. Different maps for those looking for a new challenge. Maybe create challenge matches. Basicly, an alternative or addition to what we have now.....not something similar. Only room for one similar and CG has it....lol

It would be great if Redeemer ClanDOU was different in a way from CG. Maybe it would attract more players/different players/similar players....I don't know? And maybe (if I start a site) my site will die along with the rest of them.

Maybe it will be the best ever! Time will tell. MEAT, you will get your site up and running by end of this Mondya night. Will you be available the next several days?
