Flying with your x-loc

WOW !

I’ve found this nice vid on youtube where ]TKK[Tyris shows u how to use your X-loc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtThZD9TA1c

I don’t know if its against the rules to use it in this way on our server, but it’s still a great vid to watch imo.

I didn’t know it helped to crouch when you landed. I do know it helps to wear anti gravity boots if your land while using the x-loc.

Does anyone else has simple tips to use the translocator?

Also found this one:

If you find more links like this.... put them on.

Yes for some reason you lessen the damage if you trans while crouched, boots help as well.

Try this while wearing boots. Trans once, then twice. As you reach your peak on the second trans hit your jump (boots) button and then trans a third time. Watch how high you get 😉

Can practice the flying on the x-loc server, ZSZ map, pro levels. I can show anyone around if they want but it's a lot easier helping while on vent.

I can help as well with any Xlocing. Just remember that on the Xloc server your rifle will not pop out like in game, some timing is everything.

Catch me on any server but a camping server (somewhere where it is appropriate to trans a lot) and I can show you some tricks with the thing. Those xloc maps that are little obstacle courses for the weapon aren't the best way to actually learn the translocator. Those can teach you a thing or two, but they're not good for actually applying those techniques (if at all any) you learned. Good maps to start practicing transing on are (too tired now to remember the full names of some maps, try to get the gist of the titles):

Savage and Son (basic 'low to high' trans practice)

Flat Reverse (what I like to call 'sudden death' transing, where you either learn it or crater)

Hank's Hanger ('precision' transing-play this map and trans around and you'll find out what I mean)

LARGELEGOS (good for any type of translocating practice, I use this one to warm up for distance)

{FCS}Graveyard ('vertical' translocation practice, plus cross-map trans practice)

I had alot of xloc videos on Youtube 3-4 years ago, one of them was showing this technic. Ironic tho it had almost the same title as this 1.
