Limited Uzi?

Yeah, I'm curious to see what kind of dynamic it would add to the game.

I think it would give you another option besides suicide at close quarters and of course a limited anti 'deemer defense w/o giving your postion away.

And limiting the ammo to 100 rounds should keep the run-n-gun to a minimum.

I think we would need Happy to make a version of the uzi with the 100 rounds and no ammo box settings. If I understand it correctly it should be an easy thing to do though.

If you see this Happy, check with me first though, I need to check the setup to see how it would be added. I am thinking it would have to be modified to be a single weapon replacement mutator (and not full arena mutator).

The only potiental problem I see is that it is set to unlimited ammo right now. If we added the uzi we'd have to figure out a way to get it so that wasn't unlimited too. Might be easy, might not be possible. Let me looks at the configs this weekend and then i'll have a better idea (in other words don't start it yet until we know it won't be a waste of time).

If there's a conflict with the 'deemer as far as unlimited ammo goes, why not just set the 'deemers to 100 rounds too? It's not too often that a person will survive long enough to use them all anyway.

I did think of that but wondered if people would go for it. I need to get a wee bit of sleep, so when I get up I will look at the arena match mutator and see what is possible, and then report back 🙂

LOL Xerxes !!! In a deck 16, each player (that plays in spread mode) launches about 500 deemers if there are close to 8 players (bots make the games shorter but players try to hide better)

btw, deemer playing hardly fits with other weapons. It doesn't bring anything funnier. (there was a server some months ago that had a revolver between the teleport and the deemer... It was easier to telefrag than chosing the revolver to kill some one close to you)

As it already sucked in the sniper server, I should be thinking it will do there too but if you wanna try go ahead 🙂

The demeeer arena is one of the most sacred of the srenas...you just don't put a run & gun and run n gun weap together....since the demeer is not a camp only but both weap...you gotta do it with a sniper or somethin... the dynamic is all run n gun most of the maps with the Uzi....

It can be done... but why limit any ammo in that arena???...

I got bigger dreams... proxy mines like the smart ones in UT Chaos... or the what is that gun called the Turrent of death or somethin...leave a boobie trap for your victims...Now we are talkin.... even the vortex left around some corner is a nice touch....

Yeah the chaos mod is fun. Have you played the UT2004 version of chaos. OMG it is fun but for some reason my 3dmark scores drop about 3000 - 4000 after I install that mod. I don't know why but I did isolate it down to that mod by documenting a full install on XP with UT2k4. After I installed that mod, bam again. My scores dropped from 10,000 to 6,500. The game still looks great though and the mod is funny as you know what if you play it with friends. Kill somebody and a head stone pops up with the players name on it. The proxies will actually stack up on each other to get to you and kill you. They say over 200 different things too. Lots of very funny stuff. I like torret too. It is awesome does half your killing for you. The vortex is the best weapon ever!

Man I'd give anything to play UT2004 I've played it on line at one of the cyber cafes in town that is T1 bla bla...They got UT2004 set up on like 40 pc staions there... $10.00 bucks got me all day from 9AM till 2AM of gamin the 2004 ver... wow they did great with the built in teamspeak etc... Wish I'd a thought of checkin out Chaos... Sounds like they did a kick ass pkg again... just way better.

Another game I hope makes PC is Gears of War... Another Cliffy Proj that looked great on tv durring a game review.

You need to try Quake 2 again. The chaos mod came from here originally. We have a Q2 server that runs the LOX mod. It has several of the chaos weapons in it like trackers (like turrets), bucky balls, and vortex's. Serveral others too.
