Map Removal

I am going to start removing some maps from the server. I think this is necessary to get rid of the less desireable maps and build a solid list of maps people will be more inclined to play. Some maps I may wish to remove are good maps, but just not ideal for the server. I am looking at lag, sniper-worthyness, and bot play. By bot play I mean, if you came to the server and the map was on and there were no other people, would you hunt bots or just leave. I have literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of maps, so after I strip the crap from the server I will get up other maps. This time I will do it slowly, adding a few at a time and we all can evaluate the maps and decide if we want to keep them or not. I really do think a better map selection will draw more people. Here are the first 2 I am thinking of removing. #1 - The 3rd down in the vote window - DM-()SniperStreet()Veuro I am just not crazy about this map myself. It's too dark and I don't really enjoy playing it. #2 - The 4th down in the vote window - DM-(AMLP)Bedtime This map is O.K., but for bot play it's really a bad map. The bots are just about impossible to find. Let me know if you have an objection to these maps being removed. If not they are history and I will look for more to get rid of. Anyone can also suggest any other map to be removed at any time. T

I was raising a question of how much space the UT maps on the server takes and how many are there...

I have no idea, probably a few gigs...when I delete a map I just get rid of the map file and leave the rest of the stuff there since so many maps use the same files...too much of a headache trying to figure out what I can remove and what needs to stay.

The map files take a few gigs, all of the files together a few more gigs.

Campers kitchen is a run and gun too.

By the way, I checked out that Crime scene map and the song was all music. Sounded kinda like bad porn music 😀 but nothing offensive. Maybe it got removed b4 from lag ❓

You might want to check out "lol" server they have some great maps.

But they have some realy tough camping rules.

I'll try to get you some names.

SUF has a great inhouse map maker too and some of his maps are pretty sweet. Skully I believe is his name. The mape are big but when you get a lot of players on it dont seem so big 8) Skullys Basement and Skullys Landing are two that I know of. The basement is the latest. If you want me too go investigate I can 😈 I believe that other servers have Skullys maps as well.
