Should we bring back the Uzi?

A good camper is not scared of run & gun..... I've said it before... maybe I wasn't harsh enough... Your Fn demons used to the elements of the Underworld... I love Campin more than most any of ya... let me spell it out for ya, Its part of my name see!! H a p p y F n C a m p e r... Yet am I the only one that thinks that run & gunners should be welcome and allowed to play there style?? This next part is more for the Demeer vets... Do you always camp in demeer??? or do ya always run?? I say choose what works when it works... Mix and match but win win win all ya can....

You guys ever go to a server where its all sniper and no rules??? Ever get hit from across the map by someone runnin in zoom and cappin ya?? That my fellow demons is true skill..... total control and knowledge of the maps and weapon limits.... Wish I was that good.... some of the campin servers have a campin rifle that if ya run all ya gotta do is jump & crouch in mid jump to get full rifle action goin... to be hit like that is when ya call out N1, Good Shot....

Sorry folks I just can't see why runners fluster ya so much... like I've said months ago, improve your over all game (like I have too, man I suck these days...). There are many true campers that eat runners up... They also fall prey to runners at times... but they don't start a wine and cheese thread.....

The narrow vision of a campin server is just that... you will be owned most of the time by those that can change game style and have a well rounded game play.

While on the subject ever notice the bots run & gun??? Make em all camp in settings 100%... I'd hate it but thats what should be in a true camp seerver....

I would like ya anti runner guys to go find some Bin Slayer servers and get some time in there... see what it takes to be outstanding...

If what I say is pissin ya off GOOD... its meant to get some reaction from ya...

In the end most of ya can't deal with run & gun... Which is the only thing I think is sad and sucks bout our clan.... Uzi server is Uzi server don't throw that in this thread that "Yea we do run & gun" its not the same.... cause I'll throw back with the demeer server... then this thread is off beat again....

We should be a campin clan, we should allow runners, and we should be masters and own them....

That my Demos is the Demon way... Evil at its best... Who will shake and quiver at a campin demon to scared to come outta the shell???

Fight kill run camp..... Spawn and start over.....

Be Greater Demons not the Lesser Demons that get snagged to do the biddings of those that can bind them to there will.

I could go on but I know I am a minority in this... its a shame many more would come and be owned. instead we own the cripples that can't play and chew gum at the same time...

I am glad to see X bring things up to stir up the server and try and add a new twist to it... its all been done b4, we are not breakin fresh ground when we try stuff... but a kool server that has a lil edge to the game is a crowd draw...

Ask Mons*Calpe, he will say that if you camp you're a £%#$§ with no skill, and if you ask MEAT, he'll tell you that if you run and gun (what he calls spray and pray) you have no challenge and almost no special knowledge of that game !...

I do go on NO DAM RULES serers and it's one part of fun I like for a few but I leave as soon as I'm on the point of having to vomit ! (example TKK no damm rules server) BUT they have also a TKK snipers and campers only because you can't mix always those two differents way to play.

Jargonaut recently had "an idea" on RI forum and asked if it could be added a sniper rifle on deemer game. (there is a vote going on) and the "old deemer regs" like N6 and others said AND I SAID these are two different WORLDS you don't look for the same kinda game when you go sniping or when you play deemer. Nor the same adrenaline but both have !!

Sniping and run&gun both provide a lot of adrenaline but not the same.

I love fishing and I love playing on our servers but I don't take a rod with me when I switch on my PC (to give you and image of what I call 2 worlds)

A vision much less narrow is playing with all UT weapons without exception : a kinda game that doesn't amuse me now ! But it makes great run&gunners !!!

To put my personal end to that "endless story" I regulary go on "Alienclan server" (almost no rules, sometimes campers, sometimes runners and gunners [it depends of the map] and hardly skilled)

I regulary go on "TKK no damm rules" (ditto) AND on TKK snipers and campers only (and I don't run to avoid to be banned !!)

I go on Team WKA server : you can run and gun but 1 shot 1 kill with the "bolt action rifle" : very funny !!!! But veeeeery different way (another world)

I go on our server to camp (except on 1 or 2 maps as "Paris" in wich I

run and gun) but I never have good results in that one when camping !!!!?

So.... maybe there is an answer to be really right but I don't know it !?!

You wanted reactions... I offer you mine !... I like both kind of gameplay (+WKA's one) but separately ! 😉

The bottom line for me is you can't have a true camp server without a lil runnin.... Imagine this 8 of us on a map like Punky bar... the bots spawn in walls and pool table with no direct site of another target. They are set to camp and don't feel like beefin up on armor or health and just sit there... We all get lucky and find our own fav spots campin b4 we get capped, and also have no direct line of site to any targets perch. None are spawnin out in the open..... Game ends all zeros for score yawn. Then a round in chat of GG... there is always some run & gun goin on at some point... else its just mostly open field spawn kills.

Now we have to define spawn kill. run & gun down and campin to a point that we can say this is this and is ok. However this is that and not the game we play.

How much movement should be allowed as campin before it becomes runnin? Do ya stay in a 5 step area and thats it... do you camp a section of a map that takes 20 or more steps to cover all shots to be made to hit as many targets as ya can?

Is killin a spawner after the spawn timer is up ok, or do you have to be polite and wait till they find a spot??

You run across the whole map to get your fav spot and kill 4 peeps along the way that ya find camped in what they staked as thier own spot.. Is it run & gun yet??.. get to your spot and camp. Maybe you only score 2x in your perch and decide to stay is to get the low score... so ya go flush others outta there spots. Has it become run & gun yet?? How much campin do ya gotta do b4 ya run somewhere else??? When Tommy runs circles in NYA Paris is that campin... is it ok on some maps to run & gun and not on others? How do we know when it is or not???

To me its a never ending topic... one to avoid... just camp and if someone is a runner look for em and cap em... To say to a player on the server "Hey quit that runnin crap! this is a campin server." is pointless... most know its a campin server... to mention it is ok... but to enforce in chat or complain about the amount of runnin... Well I'd rather have a runner schooled with the rifle than to chat out the finer points of campin.

I know that with you Moon you do get out there... I have been with ya in a few servers... I don't wanna squak about us campin I'm all for that... just seems the complaints about those that don't need not be an issue. Instead work it till there is no advantage for the runner to the point they are forced to camp to avoid another lesson in why you don't run & gun in campin.

Most camp servers will tell noobs hey your score sucks because ya run to much... That I understand your helpin them out... Now tell the guy who ran around a bit more than we care for while he has won the match " hey no run & gun"... Thats where it seems to fall outta place. I know it sounds messed up commin from a camper.

Ya know I think I'll stop b4 I go and start up more than we all can swallow...

I don't have all the answers.... Much less the ones I'd come up with would still crap out mosta the times anyway. I know not to fish and cap at the same time... Where the hell did ya pull that one from Moon GEEZ lol! Since you are pullin from the outside, here is mine... I don't mind seein a brandy sniffter at a piano or DJ booth for tips.... I just hate the tacky signs that some places put with them that say: Please tip the piano player or DJ for requests.... We know its a campin server, we can remind folks that it is one...but do we gotta whine at it too???

Let the rifle do all your talkin to the runners I say.

Now where do we stand in that Uzi poll there?

1. It IS a camping server.

2. We took the Uzi off to slow down the R & G not eliminate it. GET IT!!

3. We do have a server just for the Uzi. If you like the Uzi go there.

4. You do not need to call me out for my opinon if you read the whole post you already had it. And I gave it without needing to find a publisher.

Snipers for the sniper server, and uzi is for the uzi server. If you want to go run n gun play at the uzi server, dont bring it into the sniper one.

"Camper" which to me means you only run after a spawn to get to ur fav spot or any spot that gives you the advantage, Hunt/stalking not run n gun should be ok, run n gun to me means always moving never stopping and shooting anything that moves, Hmmm running on the bigger maps to cover the area should be allowed, as should running to avoid being hit if you get a sloppy player that gives you notice with a close shot (hey they missed why stay there and let them kill you), as for run n gun on the sniper its a bit hard with the mod in place anyway for me the sniper server is setup just the way sniper should be.

Imagine spawning in the middle of the open and everyone sees you run into a building just to have your head poped off after you sit in the window and finish spawning...

I tend to feign if I spawn out in the open just cause everyone can see me...

LMAO sometimes i don't even make it to the door never mind inside before my head gets popped thats the chance you take playing, the spawn time gives you a chance to get away if after that time you get hit i think its fair.

Whats not fair is the players that stand around after spawning wait till there spawn time runs out then runs gets shot and moans they never had a chance to move they had the full spawn time to run and just stood there jeeeeez

There are Muts out there that do restrict your movement, most of ya have played on a server like that I'm sure... I was thinkin off checkin them out some time. Makes it ez to keep a campin server just that with one of those Muts. If ya run to much, you take damage. Some are set so you can only take just a few steps at a time. I was on a server one time where I tossed the translo down to the ground (maybe 25-30ft) and was killed cause the distance traveled was farther than what the settings in the Mut allowed. It kinda adds to the game of gettin to a spot to camp. Totally makes it a non run & gun game.

So that why there's so few when your on the server at the same time as i am i tend to clean them up too (mainly to get them from my line of sight no need getting distracted from dead bods when theres live one's to kill)

I shoot them all the time. Catch someone playing dead once in a while that way. With all of us shooting like that its not even safe to be dead on our servers 😆 .

Ya I find it's good practice myself when I can't find anything else to shoot... hehehe...

any other ideas for wasting time while waiting for someone else to come into your sight while your camping???
