UTPGPatch451b.exe

UTPGPatch451b.exe is an upgrade to the typical 4.36 game.

All DOU UT99 servers run 4.51b.

Well, I installed it client side today and found myself having a better experience. The main thing was that the game doesn't seem to crash out randomly when a map changes. I played for a long time and there were no glitches whatsoever. This is actually listed in the "read me" as a fix.

The game seemed to be better in other ways too, but that might just be a psych reaction, time will tell there.

Anyway, I would recommend this for anybody who plays the game. You can get it here:

If you have a fresh installation, you will still need to patch to 4.36 before applying this patch.

Also, after applying this patch, when you run the game for the first time it will ask you to select your preferred video driver again like you do the first time you play the game. However, it did not wipe out any .ini files, at least this was my experience. It is always wise to back up your .user.ini file anyway.
