Tourney # 11

WOW!!! Tourney # 11 was another great success. As luck would have it the tourney turned out to be Europe against USA. It was a real hoot. High scoring games with lots of death and destruction to go around.

The first map was CMNgasstation.

Red started things off with a couple of quick kills. Then blue caught up and took the lead. Red fought hard scoring with deemers but blue was able to hold them off.

The second map was Wild Wild West.

This time blue took advantage but red held some key locations. Red kept it real close until blue took the high ground away. With blue in the lead red had to hunt more which led to their demise.

The third map played was FrankenstiensLab.

Red got off to a quick start and had blue on its heels quickly. But once blue gained the high ground they took the lead. Red fought valiantly to regain the high advantage but it was too late.

We had so much fun everyone wanted to play another.

The forth map was BOC TV Store.

All I can say is what a blood fest!!! It was one of the most fun games I have been in during all of the DOU vs DOU tourneys. It is also the most high scoring match we have had….it actually went to the frag limit.

For all who came Thank you all for making this the best one yet! I know I had a real blast. It was so much fun everyone jumped into the sniper server for a couple of cool down games.

Lots of firsts in this one:

First Europe vs USA match. (this was just dumb luck) (have to have a rematch though)

First match with 8 people.

First high scoring match.

First time we went to four games.

First frag limit game.

And most important the first time we had no bugs and started on time. (thanks to all for getting prepared early)

I think darksun was relaying messages to the other french speaking team mates but yea you guessed it i was screwed, pretty much had to play as one man band with a little help when i saw other team mates i dont think the high pings on the red side helped either maybe you need to think of even sides ping wise for Future games. over all tho it was fun and waiting for another one to come.

When Charger picks sides, he does so by the order the forms are filled out. So the odd numbered people are on a team, and the even on the other team. It was just coincidence that it ended up the way it did 🙂

It sure was I didn't even notice it until Yomama said something in the second game. I really want to keep picking teams the same way though because it just leaves it up to chance.
