POT used to do this weekly. They are no more and I am thinking of trying it out.
It works this way. We set the server into team mode and all DOU go red and all everybody else go blue. Then we just play and everybody has fun beating us up. These events usually draw a good crowd if we advertise, and once we are in peoples favorites list, server traffic increases. Not that traffic isn't good now, but the more the merrier.
Here is the cool thing. I mentioned this to WB and he went and made a surprise for me. A mutator that when people join the server, if they have the dou tag on they automatically go red, and if not automatically go blue. then we don't have to worry about shit and look professional. 🙂
This will still take a bit of setting up, but I think we could do this next week. We'll do it on a weekday evening. I'll post in the fn 5v5 area, that will get us mad traffic. I bet we see 32 people on the server. I'll also ask a few people to spam it about the net.

WB made some changes to the mutator last night and has sent me the final version. Most of the changes are to admin functions that nobody will ever notice but they are very nice.
Anywho... I will be testing the bitch out this week and I am thinking we can do this next Wednesday night (A week from this coming Wednesday).
We can play around with other times and days, but we'll give Wednesday evening a whirl for the hell of it. After we try a few things out however, if we want to do it on a weekly basis, we should pick a solid time / day that doesn't change.
If anybody sees WB, give him a big thanks from the clan. Anybody beside me ever talk to him? Just wondering.

O.K., let's get going with this.
Would anybody like to volunteer to be the head of this? To do so you would need to be available on the nights we hold it, be reliable, and not be uncomfortable executing a few commands from the console / web admin interface. WalkinBullseye created a mutator for this for us that nobofy else has (kinda cool). It will need to be turned on at the beginning of the evening and off when we are done with the events.
Anybody up for it?
